@Orb8ter, query: what mod are you using (in this video, or otherwise) for autopilot/maneuver planner?

Is it possible to get into orbit in KSP in a single burn, similar to how it's done IRL? I've never really liked how you have to turn off the engines and coast halfway into the flight; it just seems less realistic and like it's a waste of energy.

You're not alone with the West/East confusion just think that the letters W and E spell "We" while the other way around spells "Ew" I also had some issues with "Port" and "Starboard" but now I just associate them with the length of the words "Left" and "Right" respectively

I generally recommend keeping TWR around1.5 during launch. Otherwise you are wasting fuel fighting against the atmosphere.
