I love this!!! I'm a total perfectionist and have gotten trapped in my own expectations with bullet journaling before too. When I get a pretty new notebook I purposely make a bunch of mistakes on the first page so I won't be afraid to use it. Lots of misspellings, ugly color combos, failed doodles, you name it! I do it to remind myself that it is supposed to be a tool instead of a chore and to give myself love and grace over future mistakes. <3 <3 <3

Your thoughts weren’t jumbled up! I loved the message of this video. It hit the right audience. I’m often hard on myself when creating and need to release the pressure. Perfection is just a conceived perception from modern day society.

I was so satisfied setting up my 2024 bullet journal that so many months start on a Monday this year whooooo dreamy! Also my word for this year is “Exhale”. I always have a word for the year. “Intuition” and “Courage” were two of my faves!

I'm really satisfied by what you said .I've been following you since 2021 . I love doing these setups but I couldn't create and maintain one . So I started doing minimal setup but always loved to see your setups and their themes . I appreciate your new approach.

Watching you for the first time, again. I've stopped doing bullet journals for more than 2 years now. You have been my inspiration for me to start journal. I wanna go back and fix my life again. even though it's generally late lol

for this year, my main goals are to finish my research and get into grad and also get a job where ill be happy. i'm trying not to put myself up for many things that i dont evem know if i will be able to do succesfully, instead im just trying to be more organized and prepared for the adult life!

“Release yourself from the expectation of perfection” has been a mantra for me this past year

I'm really excited about doing more bullet journalling this year. I bought a beautiful premade journal and look forward to opening it every day. This year, I look forward to getting my BA to work full-time and clear up my credit card debt. I also hope to get my driver's license and begin my master's degree. There's a lot on my schedule, but unlike last year, I'm positively optimistic. ☺

My goal this year is to be more consistent with my reading and journaling! My reading goal is 2 books a month and to get into more Fantasy books and my journaling goal is to just maintain a weekly routine! @kathrynalog

Loved seeing Fredbert and your lovely little setup for 2024! Also, I’ve been struggling with making art in the past 2 years, cuz of lack of motivation or just feeling stressed about “messing up” or not making good art. But listening to you talking about how you should be proud of making art regardless and creating for yourself instead of trying to make something perfect was very heartwarming!! Also, I put a lot of pressure on myself when I started bullet journalling because I wanted to be as good as Amanda, even though I had no clue what I was doing. I ended up barely using my first year bujo. The next year I decided to do my own thing and it was very freeing. I changed it up month to month. I edited a lot out because, trying to do mood trackers and habit trackers and cool effects with my pages was just too overwhelming. I got down to things to do, things to get, things to create, that month and then a weekly spread. That's what currently works for me. I've done it the past two years and I'm happy. I still try to tweak it every now and again, try something new but, when life is as hectic as mine is, I strip it back to this.

Does anyone know the make of pen Amanda uses when colouring the 2024 under the frog? They have rounded tips and are so cute I needed them 💗😍

Improving my financial literacy and just being free (being myself?)

Literally my only goal this year: eat one piece of fresh fruit per day.
I am okay with eating veggies no problem, but fruit has always been a struggle. Not 5, not 4, not 3, not even 2, just one. I will start at one.
