Using your Behringer X32 as a Control Surface for Reaper

Will this also work for the X32 producer?

how the heck did he get the left faders to work in the DAW? The remote is supposed to only works on the 8 right faders in all daws on all x32 models !! Now I have to go and get my x32 setup again to test this silly me packed it up a couple of days ago

What if I'm not using an ethernet connection, but using the USB card on the back? As a lot of people have stated in other forums, I only have control over the "sends" side of the board. I just got an X32 Producer, and for the namesake, I imaged it would be much easier to sync up and have full control over the DAW than I'm experiencing.

I have mine setup for 32 tracks. Tracks 1-16 work with reaper as a controller. How come 17-32 won’t work?

I miss the infomation about the connection cable. Usb or Network?

When you are playing back and ready to start mixing will reaper reflect comps, gates, eq on the console? Like if I engage a comp and crush the signal will reaper reflect that change on the track.

As far as the control surface settings, being that normally the x32 would be connected via ethernet, but, I also have the Waves Soundgrid Impact server, with a Netgear switch. So the connection goes through that in between the X32 and my PC. If this is supposed connect like the X32 edit exe. , I'll have problems. I can't use the X32 edit exe. app now because I installed the Soundgrid Impact. So would the X32-Reaper app need to be connected and configured the same way as you illustrate in this video, or will I need to do it an alternative way?

Hi Michael, I am on the latest firmware version and can't get channels 17-32 to work. 1-16 work just fine along with DCA, Bus. but can't get 17-32 to work.

In control surface mode, is the audio passing through the console normally? I presume you can add dynamics and effects? I'm interested in mixing out of the box, with dynamics and effects in the console, but with pan/volume automation with Reaper. Is there a conflict with pulling down a fader on the console, while it simultaneously lowers the track to the console 2-mix and while Reaper is taking the level down too? I hope I articulated that clearly. Thanks!
