I turned my 14 inch Lincoln bandsaw from1979 into a 26 inch throat, 17 inch high capacity saw & it worked terrific. I just installed the Carter blade guides & cut some 1/2 inch cold rolled plate. HOLY COW! Never thought that guides were that important if your saw was set up correctly, but the Carters took it to a new level. Cut was almost like it was machined on the mill.
Ответить“Never liked the finger tightening system” 😮😮😮 Not an excuse for not replacing the ball bearings, but buying a whole set of guides. I’d accept if you said that you like the Carter guides better because of their high quality.
ОтветитьThanks for the always friendly warm attitude Mike!

ОтветитьNice fix and repair at the MUZ Shop!! Well done.
ОтветитьIt used to be that you would have to know 1000 people with a bandsaw to know 50 people with the same problem to know five people who fixed that problem, and maybe, just maybe one of those found a good replacement solution. Now with the Internet you can go directly to a video like this and immediately find the best solution for your exact problem and machine. Great video, and watching you tune the saw after you put the new bearings in makes me feel like I would basically have a brand new saw after the bearings and tune. 👍
