Fallout 4's New Lovecraftian Prequel

I like the introduction of the "Beats".
Obviously Fallout's take on the Beatnik culture of the 50's. They were the 'hippy', more art student, book reading, poetry loving artsy alternative sub culture of the 50's. The 60's hippies were pretty much the evolution of the Beatniks, but way more into drugs, psychedelics.

I'm gonna be honest when I think of Fallout I kinda want... yknow, politics and ideology to be the motivating forces instead of "eldritch horror entity beyond understanding" to be the plot motivator. The story seems fine and all on its own for like, a different more lovecraftian setting, but I feel like a more grounded story about the commonwealth's settlements squabbling over resources would be a lot more fitting to the phrase "war never changes." I mean, if there was an actual god who turned people into mind controlled monsters that attacked everyone (which can be beaten by 4-5 players) that would actually be a very new kind of war we haven't seen yet.

Fallout has largely just wiped its ass with it own lore over the past few years, pretty sad. I really loved this universe but it really all make no sense given the amount of edits, ret cons, personality changes and just straight up including things, without knowing their own lore.

What if the shortage of fossil fuels in the fallout series was caused by ancient civilizations? I mean in our world the fossil fuels are plenty and we don't even use that much nuclear power. And yet, in the fallout series where people use nuclear power in their cars and toasters somehow have run out of fossil fuel? What if these ancient cities beneath the ground are old non-human civilizations which have used up a majority of the oil reserves of the earth.
Also I think that the zeta aliens have caused the great war and also fucked up human development by delaying the invention of the semiconductor transistor. Why? Either there's some eldritch abomination sealed on earth and they don't want humanity to release it amongst the stars, or the previous non-human civilizations have left earth with a bad reputation in the galactic community. Can you imagine some alien senator warning the galaxy that the planet of doom, the one from which the eldritch squids and magic dinosaurs came from, has now produced a third insane sentient race?

Tabletop games are great fun. I’ve been playing them regularly for almost 20 years. I strongly encourage anyone to give it a chance someday if you’re doubtful.

It's probably already been mentioned on here but the smiling man in fallout 76 is actually a reference to a real world cryptid that is usually associated with the moth man and/or UFOs.

It has so much content and potential for a dlc size lore for fallout 4. Been using it survival mechanic to my Anchorage Winter Wasteland campaign. XD

Do these not seem like references to the Elder Scrolls Kalpas and the God Head? If so, could the world of Fallout be another Kalpa? The strange precursors; could they be the deep elves sent to a different kalpa, which explains their disappearance after the Battle at Red Mountain? With their technology and their Tonal Architecture, they could've definitely produced structures to best the tests of time and be found by those at later periods... like Lorenzo Cabot. Don't forget the similarities between dwemer face statues and the metal ones found at the eldritch locations.

Furthermore, there are a large amount of Daedric princes that fit the descriptions given about the Eldritch gods. I mean, Hermaeus Mora is practically ripped from the Cthulu Mythos.

I'm probably just reaching here and trying to connect my two favorite game lores, but is it that far out from the realm of possibility?

Is anybody else gonna question how the railroads and trains are still operating 220 years after bombs blowing up most modern equipment being destroyed to fix tracks and how most the locomotives should be damaged beyond repair and also the fact nobody left knows how to operate them I also went looking for the derailment again and realized their is a bunch or rails covered in dirt that can indeed be pushed away by trains but there isnalso rocks trees care and collapsed buildings on the tracks and the rails outside the map are seen on top of a bunch of dirt and trees and rock and by a scrap yard have disappeared completely

Something tells me those crystals are Ultracite, the radioactive quarts in the recents update to Fallout 76, they are after all only discovered in places where nuclear detonation was used for mining, so highly irradiated places.
