I've seen this movie for a few times now, and I'm still crying at certain scenes

When Ke said “This movie couldn’t have come out at a better time” he is absolutely right about that. We all needed this movie.

This movie is a once in a lifetime experience. A must watch

I just hope Ke Huay Quan career is really revitalize, not just one shot wonder. There's quite many Oscar winner whose career went flop, never to be heard again after winning the Oscar.

i think it's kinda ironic how the EEAAO was intially about a woman whom no one believed in without any skills while the actor portraying her was a woman whom no one believed in but with an abundance of skills. Ties in with the underlying messages of the movie nicely.

After hearing all the hoopla of "the best film of 2022" my wife (of 54 years) and I tried to watch it on free-week TV.
My wife has a good HS education has worked as a secretary & copy editor, reads voraciously and participates in a 2 books/month club. I have; two Associates, a BA from a major university and have worked many years as an RN in urban trauma center emergency departments.
We REALLY tried to make sense of this silly waste of time. When we got to the IRS office scene of the woman chair-flying and punching the IRS Agent, we both scratched our heads. When the male lead launched into his Bruce Lee (AKA IMPOSSIBLE) "special effects" we gave up trying to waste any more time with it.
The only other 2022 Oscar nominee I saw was All Quiet on the Western Front. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the best-selling book twice and BOTH prior film versions (1930, 1979) ALMOST as much as last years' OUTSTANDING retelling of this 100 year-old masterpiece.
Even watching on our BIG screen 5-speaker surround-sound stereo with bowls of butter corn and cans of soda, we could not fathom how this arcane, silly "special effects fantasy" took more awards than AQWF! This speaks to the middle school sophistication of 21st century academy and audiences that consider comic book superhero special effects movies "high art."
My wife and I are quite happy that we wasted neither one more second nor one red cent on this implausable, IMPOSSIBLE childishness. If this pre-adolescent nightmare was the "best picture of 2022' I am loathe to suffer through the worst.

You had all the right people in all the right places, the perfect script, and everybody did their job above and beyond. It's a beautiful thing when it all comes together and works.

Worst movie ever

This movie is an emotional rollercoaster ride.

Venderiais a vuestros hijos , a vuestros padres y exumariais a vuestros abuelos por dinero . Tirar la Tv a la basura , es todo manipulacion : Una sola persona puede cambiar el mundo ! Mentira ! Ayudaros los unos a los otros y luchar . La unica mision de la Tv es haceros creer que merece la vida que vivis cuando sois esclavos absolutos del sitema , pero sois afortunados , en Somalia se mueren de hambre y en ucrania Putin lanza bombas ! La vida es una farsa y todo medio de comunicaion aboga por su continuidad . Os tratan de convencer de que la mediocridad es una virtud y teneis suerte de poseerla ! I can't get over the guys trying to jump into dildos

It’s hilarious that the Vietnamese guy spoke Chinese. In fact, Hollywood could do anything, everything speaking Chinese is small tasks for Ke Huy Quân.

As much as Michelle Yeoh is a good actress, she did nothing to save this abomination of a film. Pure drivel that can only appeal to people who would stand at the side of the road and cheer in awe at a king that walked past wearing no clothes.
The number of reviews claiming it is the best movie they've ever seen shows how tiny minded and easily deceived people can be.
I really wanted to watch this and really wanted to like it. 5 of us sat round to watch it on Amazon Prime and not a single person had anything good to say about it. No-one could bear the thought of watching it past an hour. Off it went and we ignored the fact that we'd wasted an hour of our lives watching pure, unadulterated, drivel.

ONLY THOSE WHO ARE IN TUNED WITH THEIR OTHER DIMENSIONAL EXISTENCE CAN UNDERSTAND THIS KIND OF MOVIE ; )

I didn’t get the film it was a silly movie. There were some life lessons in there and for a low budget film it was very well made

Good for her. Always loved her an martial artists and she is a good actress. But it’s unfortunate she had to perform in a propaganda film as a lesbian in order to win an Oscar. Typical Hollywood. Appease gays and you will be an Oscar winner.

when i watched it the first phase of the movie i was like "wtf is this movie?" but in the end when michelle and ke huy reconcile i was like "this movie really hit so hard"

Honestly I don’t understand what people find amusing about this movie. It’s psychogenic, there are various scenes that are either sexually abusive ( penis fights ) , stupid to brain ( rocks talking to each other) or even satanic ( all the signs and a third eye in the middle of real ones). I was disgusted by the end of the movie and left the cinema in the end because it had a bad hypnotizing influence on people.

The hommage to Avatar The Last is amazing. I started crying so hard and then the monologue by Ke literally ripped my heart apart in the most beautiful way.

Why is this better than the actual movie?
