Years ago when camcorders (with tapes!) were still a thing, I messed with this effect by zooming in close on my subject, then did a slow zoom out (optical zooms only back then!) as I walked towards the subject at about the same rate as the zoom adjustment to keep the subject the same size. Aaah the good ol' analog days :-P Great video though! Thanks for explaining!
