What an as%hole. Talks all day and says nothing!!
Ответитьthis guy just likes to hear himself talk
ОтветитьJust read this in GOLF April 2016 vol.58 No.4. Thoroughly impressed. Next, search on you tube, and here I am. 35 years as a self employed carpenter / builder. So, I have a highly developed skill to "see" the space in front and around me. I can hardly wait to apply the basic concept this season. Btw - this spokesperson, is representing only his opinion. If YOU learn anything, perhaps this is not for you. Cheers
ОтветитьDid he say anything? This is the waffling guru!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI'm tempted to do the Aimpoint Express course. Is it about £100?
ОтветитьTalk too much on nothing
Ответитьactually just waffled on and said nothing.
ОтветитьSo I understand the concept of 2 degrees = 2 fingers, 3 for 3, etc. How do players figure out the degree of break to determine how many fingers to use in their visualization?
ОтветитьDoesn't plumbob do the same thing ?
ОтветитьThanks. I needed a laugh.
ОтветитьI'm a little late in watching this but my putting is the by far the worst of my all around bad (but improving) game. Being able to read the break is something I struggle with. If I could learn to read break and figure out where to start my putts I could see this being a big help. I may not hit it where I'm aiming but it'd be a step in the right direction. Definitely going to check this out in my area. Thanks for the video!
ОтветитьDont you worry that it is against the spirit of the game? If someone came up with an app where you walked round the green and it told you the direction to putt, would that be acceptable? It is not far off that.
I recognize that many things that have become established recently, usually driven by the professional game, are similar. But the feel element in putting used to be the great leveller. I visualize a situation where the dick who has bought the little book can now win in a group even though he is not such a good player as the others.
Of course, it may not in fact be that good, as in the Steve Buzza case. But surely once it becomes accepted, newer and less fiddly versions will be devised that will make a difference on the course without improving skills.
The important thing is to remember is it teaches you how to read and feel the break and in that regard it DOES work. Pace is critical as is starting hitting the line. As my coach says "It's AimPoint, not speed point" so having the read is still only half the battle! And for those who argue pace of play, I putt faster now than before I started using it because I never doubt the read.
ОтветитьI think it slows the game down even more, at least from people I have seen using it in person.I dont know if they are using it properly but it annoys me seeing a guy walking up and down his line then holding his fingers up then taking ten practice strokes and missing a fifteen foot putt by more than a foot. I would like to give those guys my favorite finger.LOL Everybody wants to speed up play, but golfers are emulating pros and it is not helping at all.
ОтветитьI went to an aimpoint express clinic at the Forest of Arden. I use it or at least part of it most of the time. I don't make everything but I make more putts now than I used to. I rarely finish low side and it gives me a lot more confidence and like Mark to the frustration of my playing partners 6 foot or less might as well be a gimme. Like my grandad used to say to me, what's up there (in your head) no one can take away from you.
