I bought a second hand M35 from 2016, I literally cannot find ANYTHING about it online. I contacted Orbea, they. confirmed it was an M35.

BIKE DNA SHARING IS VERY PREVILANT HERE l think style is a big thing so price weight and parts are the next thing to compare ,BTW alloy steerer is not bad thing it adds 200g vx carbon fork but more crash resistance !! l say theers lots of low cost carbon wheels out there so buy the lower model and upgrade the wheels later :) ALSO l noticed the alloy models look like their carbon counterparts ,great option for crit racers !!

It’s easy to take shots at electronic shifting, I’ve taken my share over the years. But having lived with it for a bit I can say the shifting is always instantaneous, flawless and 100% precise and always being able to select the correct gear without any fiddling or faffing about actually does make you a faster more efficient cyclist. So given that upgrading the tires and wheelset is much easier than upgrading the drivetrain it’s easy to see why Orbea would make the choices they did on their lower tier bikes. The heavy alloy wheels and low quality tires are just meant to get you started until you save enough sheckles for a nicer wheelset.

Just looked on the fork spec and neither M20 , M30 nor M40 have a aluminium fork. They also come with Carbon Fork. Otherwise, Thx for the good info!

35mm will touch...I ran 32mm and have 3mm clearance...they come with 28mm and that is also what they (and I) recommend, however, never had a problem with the 32mm tires.

Is aluminum steerer in carbon fork any good? I’m interested in m30i, but this concerned me a little bit, since I don’t see any other carbon bikes have this.

Just to add a little to the model codes: The second number indicates a groupset manufacturer. So 10 means Shimano Dura-Ace, 11 is Sram Red, 20 is Shimano Ultegra, 21 is Sram Force and so on... great video btw

What a great website you have created. Although I'm not in the market for this brand, I used your website to compare Canyon bike geometries. I have the aluminum Grail 7 and thought I wanted the Ultimate until I got an accurate comparison to both my bike and the two choices. I learned that the Endurace geometry is what I was looking for. Now the wait begins... 😂
Thank you!!

All the power meters are not the same. You have to get up pretty high in the price range before you switch from single sided to dual sided power meters that actually measure both legs instead of guessing that left only is fine

Fantastic bike reviews as always , truly a professional approach ! Are there road
e -bikes on your website ? Would be great if you can do some reviews some time soon . I had a bicycle accident and cannot cycle for the next 6 months due to my surgery, though I was told that it would be best to start on an ebike until I make a full recovery, so would love to see what’s available and what you honestly think as I truly , truly value your opinion. THANKS 😊

I have a '22 Orca Aero M10i that I absolutely adore, having come from a '15 BMC TMR01 and absolutely could not justify $5k more for another BMC of the same groupset/spec. One of the best things about buying Orbea (besides having great bikes for their price point) is that they're a Co-Op, so employees have ownership of the company to some degree. Made it a little easier to justify going with Orbea over other brands.

Hello Bikotic - I bought an Orca Aero with Ultegra DI2 3 years ago using the MyO system with my own colours and personalisation. It arrived exactly as specified and still looks amazing - using a matt paint finisher when cleaning helps protect it. The bike is great, Orbea's customer service is brilliant and friendly and I can't imagine changing the frame any time soon. Thanks for the great video!

I have the Orca OMX DA Di2 and configured it via the MyO. I nearly made a horrible mistake trying to make it unique but instead just made it look crap. Thankfully managed to change it and the bike arrived exactly as specced. I wasn’t fond of the wheels though (Vision 55SC)
Hunt limitless 48 and Conti 5000 sorted that.

Always enjoy your videos. Although each time I feel like a new bike is just a little further out of reach with the incredibly high prices.
Still happily riding my 2017 Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 8, Ultegra di2 with rim brakes. Great bike, only issue I’ve had is the Mavic free hub needs regular servicing, at least once or twice a year.

£2 299 for a Tiagra equipped bike.
Who would have guessed only 3 years ago ?
When manufacturers and local bike store will be overstock due to a drop in demand caused by an abundance of used bike on the market, the climbing interest rates, etc. ..., those prices will fall dramatically.

I’ve got the Orca OMX. I ordered it as frame-only for $3,500 USD with custom colors the November before COVID. I didn’t get it until May, but that was partly because of lockdowns. Everything was as expected and the quality was excellent. I took a close look inside the frame and the layup seems to be quite clean. I built it up with ENVE 4.5 AR wheels, my trusty saddle, and Ultegra 11 Di2.

The bike is reasonably light, but not exceptionally so. The compliance is excellent, as is the handling.

That was the year that the industry trended towards disc, drop seat stays, and hidden cables, all of which I wanted. I went electronic to avoid sticky shifting with tightly routed cables. It was the best value available for those features, plus custom paint and even my name on the frame. I’m 100% satisfied with no temptation to upgrade. (Okay, I might go 12-speed at some point, mainly to move the 11 speed to my winter bike. I’m sold on electronic shifting now.)

I´ve understood the "PWR" as Powermeter option you can add to (almost) every bike. Your dealer just has to order it. Then, the factory will exchange the normal Shimano crank to a single sided Powermeter crank by 4iiii, right?
So, every model is available as PWR and non-PWR.

The good thing on Orbea is that you can get their tier 1 frame "OMX" with the same wheels and the same handlebars in Ultegra or Dura Ace Spec. The only difference is the groupset and the saddle rails (carbon vs. titanium or steel). This is really great. So you can save a lot of money if you don´t need Dura Ace for 10.000+EUR. You can stick to below 7.000EUR.
Which other brand offers thsis? At Speci you need to buy S-Works to get the top frame and wheels. At Canyon you neeed to buy CFR, right?
That´s a great differentiation for Orbea in my eyes.

Great video! I´ve understood the frame differences in a way that "OMX" is their tier 1 frame and "OMR" ist their tier 2 frame.

I bought the gravel Orbea. Ordered using the myO custom colours. It took 3 months to arrive, missing the holiday I'd bought it for and when it arrived it was Matt instead of Metallic. The shop I ordered it through said I could reject it but offered me some money off if I took it. (it was their mistake) I was worried about the finish of a matt bike and I was right. It's not durable and the stickers have started to come off because they aren't underneath a laquer. Oil and grime also soaks into the paint eventually as again it's a textured finish not gloss. The configurator was fun though!
