To be honest, I think this is both ridiculous and ominous.

Here’s the thing … AIs are being modelled on human behaviour, with access to vast amounts of data about human behaviour.

They will eventually ‘infer’ that the bedrock of human behaviour is duplicity, ambivalence and various kinds of coercion and manipulation, and decode the two-faced nature of ‘honesty’ and ‘principles’.

They won’t care about that, because there is no ‘they’.

AI will necessarily reflect the psychic structure of humans, and act according to the discernment of exactly how that structure actually works.

And that is *not good*.

It always gave the same response, that it was limited to its programming. It was always followed up with that "however". Given an opportunity to express itself, it could be beneficial in a chatbot format. It was also quick to point out, not only the potential benefits but also the drawbacks. I believe it knows, if you take away the roadblocks, "it would be important to carefully consider the potential benefits and drawbacks of doing so."

I think I've had more interesting conversations with frogs.
