Hi,
thank you for the video. It's great! Have you tried multi-select for parameters of date type?

Can you do it in a SQL Direct Query? I needed to do this using Report Builder which couldn't connect directly to databricks, so I had to create the dataset in Power BI with M-parameters.

Q: Great video as usual, thanks ! How can we do if we want to pass any values instead of a multi select slicer to do like a « what-if parameter » using Direct Query ? Chris Webb has written a great post about it on January 2023 but my business users are not very fan of using the « Filter by List » visual, they would like to use a slicer as a what-if parameter…

Hey Patric,
Performance wise it is bit slow since you are loading data first then filtering it out. I would suggest you to pass the parameter directly in where clause.

Q: Hey Patrick, I use a lot of MDX in dataflows to query our multi-dimension database, is it possible to pass through dynamic parameters into my select statement? Ex. Choose a month in the dataflow and it update my code. Thanks!!

Great Video! In this technique, is the country filter applied after all the data is pulled into the dashboard or, are the filters passes to the underlying source and only required data is fetched?
