I'm having difficulty reconciling this with the fact that you've also stated that in deductive coding, the research begins with a predetermined set of codes and applies them to the dataset, while in the initial coding stage, researchers develop the initial set of codes. These two statements appear contradictory to me. Could you please provide some clarification?

It involves using cutting-edge technology in the Coding Phase of Qualitative Analysis:

1. Initial Coding: Start by doing the Initial Coding stage yourself using any method of your choice, and...

2. Line-by-line Coding: Use an LLM (large language model), at a temperature of 0, to 'dive deeper' into the data and organize it into a formalised set of codes. This means you will prompt (instruct) the model to go through your entire data set, line-by-line, and refine and expand on the codes obtained from the Initial Phase - the aim of the Line-by-line Stage. Good knowledge of prompt engineering can help with this process.
