And don’t forget, the new 4 cylinder engine requires premium gas whereas the great V6 runs on regular. The increase mpg doesn’t make up for the increased gas costs

Looking to replace my IS 350 in the next 2 years. Would like an suv this time, and wanted the RX. But I’m not buying electric or hybrid. And I’m not buying a four cylinder in a vehicle of this size. Lexus making it so hard for me to buy a Lexus. It’s hard enough to get past their lacklustre styling. But I’m not will to compromise on the power / engine. Time to look at Mercedes I guess.

The video failed to mention that the new RX requires premium fuel that coat on average $1.00 a gallon more than regular & offers almost zero improvement in gas mileage from the old V6 model. The best RX to but is 2020 thru 2022. V6, regular gas, & has an updated touchscreen.

Where are the issues? I don’t see any, especially compared to all the mostly German competitors. It’s something you buy and not lease.

The 4 is faster and lighter than the v6. I find it funny that people want loud exhaust but are bothered by a slightly louder engine than the v6. All the alerters are not as bad as they say. It does not go off as much as people say unless they are actually bad drivers. Front grill is so much better than the older models. I don't get grills that actual make there way up on to the hood of the car, that to me looks ugly. I find also the car is not under powered with 275 hp. The power is there when you need it. Best of all the car is actually reliable. Which is more than I can say for all the other cars like Porsche, BMW, Mercedes.. Those cars may be fun to drive but you will continue to pay for that fun over and over again...

I had that car (450+ model) for couple days an strongly disagree with most things. Power is more than enough, it weights ~2200kg/4850lbs and it feels like compact car to drive, very agile. Super confy, fuel consumption in my case was outside city ~29-30MPG / 7.5-8.0L/100km. And only thing that was truly annoying was that beeping system saying that driver is not keeping attention. Stupid and bad system. But sides of that it was great in all aspects. If you are looking for a fast and sporty SUV then look for something else, RX500 is quick but still not so quick and pleasent i fast driving like bmw M60i xDrive. But it make no sense to compare RX to X5 two different worlds, X5 sucks at bumpy road even with adaptive suspension while RX was great at it.

This review is off the mark. You need to go and test drive one if you're in the market. This is not a competitor to BMW, Audi, Lincoln, etc... That's a good thing in my opinion. "Car Experts" are not driving the market - consumers are. The # units sold will tell you what's really happening.

no, the vid is clearly nitpicking these things. New one with hybrid powertrain's mpg is better than the V6 for sure. Hybrid has instant electric torque and smoother ride and waaay better mpg on the long run. The V6's fuel economy is the one that doesnt perform like on paper. Few years later, it only get about 18 mpg average. If you're hypermiling, then it's 20mpg. I borrow my sister's RX once in a while so ofc I do pay attention to these details cuz I usually fuel it up before giving it back

Hated the change they did to 2023 and therefore i am keeping my 2013 :( Interier feels all cheap and plastic, missing power of V6, changed the wheel size (cant ise the same winter tire anymore), and premium gas?? Also have to say the large touch screen is just a safety hazard when driving. They shouldvt kept the RX as is and push out a new model for this one.

I Put 1200 miles on my 2023 RX premium plus.
Engine is smooth and quiet. It will growl a little when you accelerate quickly from a dead stop, but I dont drive that way.
This engine is also going into the new Toyota Land Cruiser.
This car is nowhere near being under powered.
Ride stability is very good for this size car. Is it a BMW X5 ? No! and who cares.
The x5 is 15 K more for the same options...not worth it.
As far as reliability, the BMW, MERCEDES, AUDI, GENESIS, VOLVO......NOT EVEN CLOSE TO LEXUS.
Fuel economy for the non hybrid is just ok, but not horrible.
Interior is very nice fit and finish is an A plus.
The grill actually looks good now, I hated that mean ole spindle on the last model.
It is the Best luxury crossover under 60K.

My sister had a a wreck with a lady on the wrong side of the road on a bridge . Her truck was totaled . We sold her our hs250h Lexus with 90,000 miles . That way with the money she had left from the settlement she could have some money left over for a couple of house payments as she healed . We still had our 2010 Lexus RX 350 which replace our 2008 Lexus 400 H which had been rear ended and we no more than got it back from the body shop and it drowned in a flash flood in the garage of all places . Our 2010 RX has 140,000 miles on it but is just like new . Later on we needed a second cat do to travel for work . At the end of the model year we saw Lexus had a new 2019 RX Lexus Sport model ! After telling the people at Lexus what all that had happened to us the people at Lexus worked out a deal with us since we had been Lexus customers since 1999 . Making a long short our first Lexus was destroyed within the first week of purchase . A man was spinning in the middle of the road with a restored Jaguar and ran us into a concrete wall . It saved our lives after 10,000.00 in damage . We are like several other people however . We did not really care for Lexus 4 cylinder . Lexus has a nice vehicle in the RX . However Lexus needs to let we the customers decide on which engine to purchase . It’s a big “ No” on the 4 cylinder ! So we may switch to a different brand next time ! In Germany I drove BMW’s X 3 on the autobahn with a 6 cylinder clean burning diesel . No diesel smell , no diesel noise . And that diesel BMW V6 was bad ass fast !!! I averaged 220 km . Purred like a big going for a meal !

100% spot on with the body roll, brake pedal feel and the annoying advanced safety features. I've had the vehicle phantom brake when nothing was in my lane numerous times. Made an appt to have it checked next week. It's very comfortable, but the brakes and rotors definitely need an upgrade for its weight.

We bought the 2023 RX350 Luxury. This is such a useless review. 4 cylinder is fine, 0 false alarms on them, interior is amazing, safety features are great, we're getting 25mpg in the city (non hybrid) and averaged 32mpg on the hwy. Towing, lol. Everyone knows, you buy this for toyota reliability, luxury, and the ability to have a vehicle that will outlast its competitors. Ive owned German cars for years, and the minute they hit 40-60k miles, get ready for a ton of maintenance randomly popping up.

Lexus, all day

I pulled up next to someone with the new RX. I drive the 2016 RX. I had a chance to ask him about his impressions while his lady was getting drinks. He was not thrilled. He said the car sounds like plastic and feels the same. The trim he had was very nice with lots of options from what I saw. Looked beautiful. But for someone with such a nice car to be so disappointed after driving the 2019 RX, says a lot to me. He did not look like he was happy with his purchase and said twice that he wanted to go back to the 2019 if he could.

2023 RX350 Luxury at 4,000 miles. $2500, for windshield replacement, is a bit of a shock and the front dash separation is a surprise as well. Almost had an accident, due to turbo lag and the need for premium fuel drains your wallet quickly. The ride is stable and would be quiet, if not for the cacophony of warning bells and buzzers, which turn a quiet drive into a thing of the past. The car almost drives itself between the white lines, but the auto braking from guard rails around curves and when approaching traffic is really annoying. Also, the Mark Levinson sound system seems highly overrated for the extra coin, and so far doesn't meet my expectations of a surround sound environment. Don't get me started on all of the steering wheel buttons and functions which are near impossible to operate in traffic.

Video uploaded by makers of BMW . BMW or Mercedes cannot even come closer to Lexus RX . Both BMW and Mercedes are not reliable vehicles. They breakdown frequently and super expensive to maintain. Consumers are not stupid to go behind a brand that is highly reliable and fetch an excellent resale value.

Lexus are just overhyped and overpriced by poor Americans who can no longer afford to maintain a well built vehicle like Mercedes so they've chosen to settle with "Mercedes Mimic Crappy Lexus " instead. All over the world including Japan Lexus is just a normal Toyota car except in North America

move to a 4cyl that needs premium fuel? 70-90 cents more a gallon for 1MPG? I'll pass, stick with my 2022 with the 6cyl. Whoever made that decision and using the Toyota rear design should be fired. Have to write LEXUS out because it looks like a Toyota. Sad
