How to Connect DJ Subwoofers to Speakers & Mixer

Great demostration, i only have a sub and one top, how to set up for seperate volume control on a rane seventy mixer.

Good guide, im running 2 passive speakers or tops but i want to add a powered Subwoofer and 2 stage mornitors to the system, how do i connect them especially if the monitors are slso passive

Wow that’s awesome I had some issues this weekend with my sound idk if it was my DJ controller software or speakers but I was pushing them load and I think they got hot and it like shut of for a second a came back on the power didn’t turn off tho I think I need a board like yours

Works great when you're the only person using the setup. If you're working with musicians who need monitor mixes, you might not be able to do this unless you have enough aux outputs for the monitors and an extra one for the sub.

Connecting two PA subs to main outs or mono out from powered mixer or amp to two active full range PA speakers!
Getting info on two sub ,two speaker set up is like finding hens teeth on line? Can anyone help,?

Hi...nice video...not sure if it was me...but can you tell me if your sub was played distorted ? It sounded fuzzy or like a crackling sound when you brought up the volume...Could you please let me know what you think about that....thank you Brylan

If I have a controller, DDJ - 1000, does that take the place of your mixer essentially? Since I can control the highs, mids, and lows? I run mono to the sub and from the sub to my speakers, correct?

why you not useing a active crossover you can still have controll over i use two outputs from my mixer booth for base and master for tops the booth for the bass goes threw the crossover with the top end muted and through the second amp this gives me a total output of 500 watts rms per channel

You said use a mono for the subs how does it work with more than one sub? Do I daisey chain and only connect one quarter inch to the mixer? I am guessing that is better so you can control just one knob.

Queation pls. I have one sub and running my 2 tops loudspeakers. All power speakers. Now i have 2 more power speakers i want to add. Can i connect them out of the ouput of the L and R top load speakers into the extra power speakers? If so do the subwoofer gets any overload worked sence 4 power speakers are using the crossover?

Hello I was checking out ur video on how to connect a subwoofer.
I have a Yamaha (1)- DXS18XLF subwoofer with XLR outputs and inputs. Im trying to connect (2)- 12" JBL monitors and subwoofer to my controller. It's a DJ Hercules Inpulse 500 controller with (only) RCA & 1/4 main outs. What and how do you recommend the best possible sound and connections for these type speakers?

Great video. And I am a newbie at the board and how to set it up, so please forgive my Ignorance.
I just wish He would have given a close up on the back of the sub, I think He was using the other port, not an XLR. I didn't hear the explanation for this type connection. What was it ? It didn't look like the XLR port on the back of the SUB

Great video. I have a Yamaha 6 channel mixer which doesn't have an aux out. Can I use the available channel 5 out (which is mono) since I don't use it to separate the sub?

Great video.. just was wondering what cable u are using into laptop.. I see you're using a XLR cable to the mixer... but what's on the other end connected to your laptop? XLR to 3.5mm... also I noticed you just running straight from mixer to lab top ....how do you run 2 speakers and a sub using a controller and mixer? And having just control of your sub on mixer? Sorry hope that makes sense .it might seem a little confusing...
