For those of you wondering (like I was) how to re-insert those tiny-tiny-tiny screws... it's quite a challenge, especially if you have big hands like I do. I started having success after I bought a magnifying lamp. Then you can really see those tiny screws up close and work the tweezers to gently grab the head of the screw and place them in the holes. Then make sure your screwdriver is demagnetized otherwise the screw will jump back out and attach to the screwdriver. Also, don't squeeze too hard on the tweezers or else your screw will shoot out never to be seen again. My suggestion is to get an old broken iPad and practice first. It takes time and patience to get these screws in the holes and I also recommend ordering a whole bunch of replacement screws. Another frustrating thing to keep in mind is the edge of the iPad is EXTREMELY magnetized - we're talking black hole magnetic field power. The screws love to just zing away from the holes and attach themselves to the edge. The magnifier and the tweezers make it easier to pry them away from the edge.

ОтветитьHard Subscribe! A Perfect Guide!!!
ОтветитьHey there! Thanks for this detailed iPad screen replacement guide. It's always interesting to see how the process has evolved over time, and you did a great job explaining it step by step. I've never attempted a repair like this myself, but your video gives me a better understanding of what's involved.
Quick question, though: Do you have any tips for finding quality replacement parts and tools for this kind of repair? It seems like having the right materials is crucial for a successful fix. Thanks again for sharing your expertise!
Hey where do we get the adhesive you were rubbing on it
ОтветитьMy home button is definitely recessed more than it should be but your video really helped hopefully this repair works. Thank you so much

ОтветитьWhere do you get your screens from?
ОтветитьWhat is wrong when, after the touch screen has been replaced, it registers zillions of random touches all over the screen, so that it enters wrong pins on its own? Is the replacement touch screen defective? The panel itself was not replaced.
ОтветитьHow do you guys get the home button connected? I watched multiple times and can’t get it to slide under and stay.
ОтветитьYou sound like ‘Jerry rigs everything’ Legos and thanks Apple and all that shit😅
ОтветитьExcellent video. What 3M tape primer do you use? Is it necessary to black silicon areas back down, where existing silicon spots were removed?
ОтветитьJust successfully replaced the screen of my son's iPad thanks to this video!
It was a bit of a struggle in places, like replacing the tiny screws and the home button strip I got with the replacement glass was a long strip so I had to fold it over myself, it was a little awkward but I got there in the end.
Something tells me NOT to try this myself
ОтветитьMy ipad 9 just suddenly death, no drop nothing happened. Just a black screen of death any idea to fixes this issue

ОтветитьThanks for video. I have a iPad 11inch 2018, would this be a simular process, as I am not sure which part to repair. I was going to invest in the heat mat and tools and adsives. Any thoughts if its worth while trying, as LCD seems ok just glass.
Ответитьis there suppose to be glue marks at the edges after sticking the screen back
ОтветитьAnd people are shocked as to how apple is sitting at 3.1 trillion market cap. They stuff is so easy to break and they make it borderline difficult to replace and fix it all.
ОтветитьI’ll be having professionals do this lol
ОтветитьAwesome help! I would like to know what you used to hold/keep the glass standing up.
Ответить"Children keep me in business for this reason, thanks children"
ОтветитьThanks man. Greetings from the UK. Liked your presenting style. This helped me a lot. Two of the lcd screws were covered in tape which was a bit of a curve ball.
ОтветитьI recently did this and all went well until I realized despite the iPad indicating that it is charging, it really isn't. The iPad worked on & off the charger until the battery inevitably died.
ОтветитьI couldn't be arsed having anything to do with fixing Apple devices any more after replacing a digitizer and screen on an iPhone 6S which was a complete pain in the arse.
ОтветитьI made an attempt at following your guide to repair my shattered screen. Everything was going great until I started putting everything back together. I got one of the digitizer "lego" connectors connected just fine but the second one was like, "Nope!". I wound up mashing the pins. My big meaty hands are not designed to do work on tiny little things. And speaking of tiny!!! Those freaking screws. How do you deal with screwing those back in? They become so ridiculously magnetized you can't get them seated on the driver. Then I lost one inside somewhere and couldn't find it due to the magnetization. It's attached to something in there but I'll never find it. I gave up and just ordered a new iPad.
ОтветитьHey, how were you able to attach the home button, that wire and the metal piece? What kind of tape I need to use for all?
