Will this work on its own if I were to plug it into a monitor and turn it on like a regular PC or is this just a case for building your computer from scratch 🤔? I'm new to this sort of stuff. Looking for an affordable PC for gaming, visual effects, 3D animation and modeling and video editing

This has become my favorite case series, my first was the basic Pure Base 500, but then when I made 2 new PCs (I'm addicted to building PCs, not gambling or drinking, don't bully) I used the 500DX cause of the window and meshed front, then when I made a media PC to attach to my tv assembled from spare parts I bought a white pure base 500 window (non DX, but with window, but original front panel).
I also coupled it with the cooler master MasterLiquid PL240 Flux 240mm rad since that one fits in the top part.
Such a good case.

I would definity buy this case because of the back side, due to the cable management

@JayzTwoCents I've got this case with the Aio cooler pure loop 2 and I'm having trouble connecting everything to an MSI Z790 mobo. Worked somehow for 2 days and then CPU gets overheating. No clue if the aio fans see the CPU or not. First time building with aio and RGB and I'm jut lost

Case TOO SMALL for RTX 4070Ti?!
Some of our regional PC builders/ PC configurators have disabled the option of chosing the 500FX case due to lack of space. They told me that some cards of the RTX 4000 series (e.g. the 4070Ti)) are TOO WIDE for this case and many customers complained about not being able to close the window completely. For the 500DX however there is no problem with those cards but the inside of the 500FX and 500DX are NOT identical! Can somebody confirm this pls?

For some reason the plastic pins for the front panel are extremely tight for my case, which makes removing the front panel very hard. I even had to use some tools to get it open, which makes regular dusting kind of a pain?

Any ideas what could be done to loosen the plastic pins a bit?

Why does everyone say Intel CPUs are hot? Who here is gonna freaking run Cinebench R23 non stop? That when the CPU gets hot, not while gaming. I hate that shit.

î just bought the case and an enermax liqmax 3 arg 240 as a cooler. the fans with the cooler are lighting up the whole fans which i actually dont like so i took the 3 fans out from the front, put 2 of them on the radiator in the top and one in the back. then i put the 140mm from the back into the front and bought a second one to add to the front. that way i just had to buy 1 140mm fan to add to the system instead of 2 120mm for the radiator. saved me 20 bucks. the 2 140mm are also strong enough to still generate a positive preassure even with 3 120 exhaust fans.

Man, I really don't like it when they just use that basic bent steel for the IO slots. Dunno how many times I've injured myself when lifitng cases from that, plus it is a little less structural and usually something for very cheap cases. Been wanting to replace my old Fractal case forever but there's always something I don't like on modern cases xD

I wasnt thrilled by the DX because the fans were 3 Pin no PWM no RGB. This merely cost 30€ more but has 4 fans that I can actually use. Very cool

I have this case and could be happier with it. it's comfortable to work with, rather silent and the RGB's are beautiful

I can't seem to pull the front panel off-- help? Can it be pulled off with both side panels on?

Jay, or any of the viewers, a question:

Officially this case supports up to ATX boards. The motherboard I want to use is however E-ATX. Not hugely E though: just 13mm / 1/2 inch extended, and using standard ATX screw locations. The only reason I can see from the documentation and pictures online why this wouldn't fit is the SSD-tray lip that you hide your cables coming from the motherboard behind. As far as I can tell leaving the SSD-tray out (maybe replacing it with a custom made panel) would enable you to put this size E-ATX in. But be quite refuses to confirm or deny that this is the only reason to limit motherboard size to ATX.

Does anyone have experience with trying an E-ATX board in, or can confirm that is would fit? I'm not looking to air cool BTW so don't need to worry about radiators and such.

Great video. Newbie question here. If I connect the pwm cable into the cpu_fan header like suggested, does that mean I would then connect the CPU cooler into the hub at the rear of the case? Will it matter if the fans on my CPU cooler are not RGB?

I really want this case as a standard tower instead of a mid tower :( is it possible to fit a ATX mobo in this if you remove that panel that is in the way? and would a 4080 fit?

Not sure if corsair fixed this issue or what, i don't know how they would but whatever. I just bought a 5000D Airflow and plugged the back dollar store looking fan that came with it to my commander pro with my light loops and its working. So either you just had an issue or im just an outlier. Both could be possible.

Looking for your (or anyone’s really) take on my problem/solution situation:
So I wanna get some argb fans and be able to control them through software. Only I don’t have argb port on my motherboard.
I tried looking for an adapter from 3pin-argb to usb header but it doesn’t exist (not to buy anyway). Only thing is 3pin-argb to usb external port, but that would require me to have the cable go out of the case.
The thing I came up with, with the stuff I did manage to find online- is to get that 3pin-argb to USB adapter(external) and then use another adapter from it, of an external female usb to internal female usb that can connect to the motherboard header.
So.. Yup? Nope?

My Mobo has a 4 pin rgb header. The manual calls it a jled. I've been looking for a adapter for it but haven't had any luck. I have the msi gaming m7 mobo. Do you know if there is an adapter for this header?

guys does anyone know in terms of thermals and noise lvls ? i see dx results every where gaming nexus etc. but this case have different fans set up 4 instead oif 3 but 120 oposing to 140 does anyone have clue in terms of temps and decibels whats a difference ? thaks guys

I remember the psu used to be at the top now i love this case i do think two usb3 and the 3.1 would be nice also the hub in the back with all those wires could hinder mapping out your cables and if you wanted to change your cpu cooler you may have issues ,,,would you think that ,at least for me i want a case i can completely take apart to paint without rivets but love your content
