Thank you again for preparing such a great video!💜💜 I'm watching it over and over xD Don't get me wrong, but I have a suggestion: you could show the part where Ascended Astarion looks in the mirror, praises himself and transforms into a vampire bat because there are viewers who can't play the game and only watch it. I think they would also want to see these.

Can’t decide between Gale and Astarion so I just stopped playing lol Astarion spawn seems really sweet and mature, but you can become a literal god with Gale.

I didn’t become an Illithid and chose to free Orpheus instead but GOD Spawn Astarion’s dialogue makes me so happy! He became a hero all on his own! I remember seeing the option when he asks what we should do now and I thought that even though he’s changed for the better that immediately becoming a hero would be a bit unrealistic but I guess I was wrong! ❤

I think the cutest thing at the party was halsin, he gives you a wooden duck and then dances by the fire 🥹 what a lovable goofball 😂

I love how not ascended Astarion is still himself yet he learns the importance of others in his life and even remarks the word “our”. Our win, our friends. He is genuinely happy and learnt to see the positive on his curse while Ascended Astarion is so bitchy and believes the win was because of him and turns everything about himself. Damn, Neil deserves thousand of awards the voice acting is on a whole different level

Ascended Astarion was like sounding pretty okay at first in this then slowly his manipulative side came creeping in and I'm not fine.

When ascended Astarion says ‘you complete me’ I was like ‘aww the boy is lovely even ascended now!!’ And then he says the line how he gives everything to you and will basically FORCE you to live a lavish life even if you don’t really want it and Im like FU-

Hello! Sorry i'd really like to know if there's any place that says what the new updates/patches of the game entail, all this seems so amazing. But I got lucky coming across this to even find out it existed :(

I LOVE Spawn Astarion, but I still feel that route and ending will always be sadder because Tav is going to die. And what they have now, will end and he'll be alone. :<

Jesus, I cannot believe people would still defend Ascending Astarion even after A) everything in the base game, and B) everything in this epilogue. The difference is night and day. He's so much happier and such a better person as himself, when he didn't turn into a tyrannical Cazador 2.0. Helping Astarion, your friend, see the right path in a trying time, and helping him come out of it all as a better person to boot is obviously the good option.

Omg what is the name of the song playing in the background of the vampire spawn ending? It is not in the official album. Ive been googling non stop to find the version with lyrics

A bit sad that Spawn-Astarion once against get the least amount of dialogue, compared to Ascended, and very little if you romanced him versus if you broke up. Yes, admittedly it makes sense, if your character has been with Astarion every day there's no need to ask him how he's been. But as a player, I don't know how he feels about still being a spawn, dammit! Whereas if we broke up ( due to Mindflayer transformation, or being a Gith who decided to leave with Lae'zel), I the player get much more info from him about him.

I'm a bit perturbed that Spawn-Astarion gets questions like "Are you still drinking the blood of the living?" Well... yes, what else is he supposed to do? Drink from corpses? Not drink any blood at all and starve and go feral? Go back to feeding on rats like Cazador forced him to? I wish people wouldn't equate a vampire needing blood to drug addiction, as if the vampire just needs to resist, you know, like it's a willpower thing, just say no to blood, jolly good. But that's like saying to a living person, "Hey, you should stop eating food and drinking liquids several times a day!" At least the vampire can drink blood without killing the person. That doesn't work for a steak. And Mindflayer Tav isn't condescendingly told, "Hey, why don't you stop eating the brains of people?"

Do what you want, but I prefer Astarion as a spawn rather than an ascended one, he is more gentle and caring... he thinks more often about the tav, he doesn’t care about power, all he needs here is his love.

What about...non-illithid Durge/Astarion 😭

I couldn't help it. The moment I saw Halsin in the background I was like 'ooo Halsin booty'! Now I need to get back into BG and finish my run (had to delete my main right near the ending because it glitched).

Spawn Astarion melts/warms my heart and makes me wanna cry happily, Ascended Astarion breaks my heart and makes me wanna cry sadly. 😭

Does this also apply if you play dark urge?

I really, really can't stand Ascended Astarion. I mean, it's a good character, well written, he got charm and all, still good looking as hell as usual, beautiful voice, he's the classic boy who treats you badly that makes little girls melt and make them say "I want a boy like him" (no you don't). But I can't stand all this arrogance of his, that he says he loves Tav when it's absolutely not true (practically manipulating their feelings), that he treats them like a stuffed animal to cuddle when he wants and/or has time. I can't stand the fact that he practically thinks he's the God of the world. Which, all of it, is what makes him a good character. Still like his character even if I can't stand him.
There's really no comparison between the Ascended and the Spawn.

Is it just me or does Withers's speech implies a potential expansion in the distant future?

he's so sincere as a spawn, it actually sounds loving. Neil did such a great job portraying that in his voice, how he landed the lines. The ascended not an ounce in it.

I'm very happy with the latest patch 😍except for one thing ok we have the possibility of hugging Astarion, but why can you kiss most of the others and not him?😢
