What do I do if I have already created similar bindings for a different feature (a bottom navigation bar)? I've tried copying the previous bindings but replacing 'MainActivityBinding' with the '(fragmentsname)Binding' but this didn't work.

Why is my BMI result kinda stuck when I am changing the values?

I am using a view model to create something similar to this. It is a BMI calculator as well but my app crashes when trying to populate the text view. No amount of google searches has paid off yet. Any suggestions? My xml format for text view reuses your code and I am using bindings to call the text view to populate like you.
