Carrot Top reviews guitars.
ОтветитьGreat video. Thank you. This video may be 3-years-old, but it's still grand and is really underlining Jet in my books.
Aside: It's not the "worst" of the range (well, it may be, I don't know), it's the least expensive of the range. There's not always a logical and pragmatic correlation between cost and quality. Sadly, the cost for some of the models has risen between when the video was published and today.
I love your enthusiasm and the innocent joy that you have when unpacking these Guitars. 🙂
ОтветитьWOW! Thank you!
ОтветитьEven though I have a pretty expensive guitar, (and if I did need another, would be paying a reasonable amount more than this), I am so much more interested in these bargain guitar videos than anyone reviewing the mid or top tier guitars. I get a kick out of thinking how much better the introductory experience of learners must be when the budget guitars of today are better than most mid-price guitars of my youth.
ОтветитьCould you please tell me if these ldentical guitars are available in England ?
ОтветитьDidnt you review a sparkling blue sg? Where is that vid?
ОтветитьWhat the heck is "mixed ebony"? The dark fretboard wood?
ОтветитьHi Andy, the Js 500 and especially 600 are like Michael Kelly (1965, 1967, CC60 Burl Burst) strats with the epic eleven mod. Have you considred comparing JS with Michael Kelly, or doing some Michael Kelly reviews? Thx.
Ответитьhow was the fret work on these? i've noticed that in low end guitars, from most big name brands, the fret work is horrible, like they don't file down the edges so you're just ripping your fingers up
ОтветитьThey look great and sound pretty good....but I hate C and modern C necks and basswood bodies. Seems like you get a lot of guitar for your money but IMO, there is no imagination when making these guitar necks. ALL the guitars I have seen that are made in China (and also bought) come with C or modern C necks and are just too thin for me!
Medium C or soft V please.
That includes you too Fender...and oh yeah, if you are going to use a soft v neck please stop using an unusable 7.5 radius. Yikes!
Just my 2 cents worth. Peace.
Has Jet now moved to a satin finish neck and fret board since your reviews? 😊
ОтветитьI have 2 strats that i love to much and a i need to buy a cheap gig guitar I can leave in the car, i want the jt300 because i do not have any t style guitar, but looks like the js400 its a better axe, but it would be another strat, which guitar should I buy?
ОтветитьAndy, thanks for this honest review just seen it (ref the silenced post). On the back of this and your jet vs hb, I bit the bullet on a jet js400 and couldn't be more pleased. Thanks again for not cow-towing to the brands and being honest in your reviews. It's just what we players want to hear.👍🏻
ОтветитьDoes the JS450 have a solid or veneer top?
ОтветитьDo you have the time, to listen to me whine......
ОтветитьWhere do I buy one in USA
ОтветитьLove the jt300 and the country licks out of her. Always wanted one that style love it. Tele type all the way.. dig the vintage look.
ОтветитьSo that "guitar" that shan't be mentioned asked your friend for input, wondering if you are going to help?
ОтветитьI here there pretty good
ОтветитьYou bought. Alot of them
ОтветитьYou know what guitar has cheap looking and feeling knobs and tuners? PRS Silversky.
ОтветитьThe apparent glee with which you examine these guitars makes me want to go buy all of them. I want to feel the same joy and surprise.
ОтветитьThe way your voice scaled up when you looked at the S model and said "That's 147 euros!"
ОтветитьThe JS500 is actually a kinda interesting axe. Its a 24 fret 25.5" scale, but it has the same 9.5" neck radius as all the other Jet guitars. Now a 9.5" radius (today's standard Fender radius) is not necessarily a "shredders" 14" to 17" radius, but it does make an interesting H/H Strat style guitar. I think Jet would really be doing themselves a big favor if they offered a 12"-14" compound radius Tom Anderson style and a 16" or 17" radius Ibanez/Jackson style neck as an option. That JS500 with a 24 fret 12/14" compound or 16/17" shredders neck could be really attractive and a big seller.
ОтветитьIn the review, did you say that you liked the sound and guitars of the JET JS-400 more than the JET 450? Why do you think the sound of the 450 is worse? I choose from these two models...
ОтветитьI remember back in the early to mid 80s I played a Jet base with tuners at the bottom.
It was jet black and amazing bright tones and deep, deep, low tones. The action was amazing. I played it for about a month then had to give it back, but man, what an instrument!!..😉🫠
cool video, but still keep in mind: There are people watching your videos with headphones on... the intro killed my ears... 😞
ОтветитьThey have gone up in price something fierce.
ОтветитьHi. Is the jt300 better than harley benton te-62cc you reviewed?
ОтветитьAaron Gordon played guitar?
Ответить就是要用這種薄薄的紙箱裡面裝爛爛的吉他彈起來才夠爽!
ОтветитьYou only say that because it's better than Harley Benton .and you work for Thomas music you sound jealous .if you don't like them send them to me
ОтветитьI've recently purchased a JS 300 and it is a great guitar, not even for the price! If you upgrade the pickups and perhaps the bridge a bit, you'll get a fantastic Strat-style guitar, imo. It is more comfortable to play and holds better in tune than much more expensive guitars. The neck is just so comfortable and smooth to play. I've got the Seafoam Green version and the colour looks killer, very psychedelic and oldschool. These are highly recommended.
ОтветитьI have the JET-JS 500 RDS (red sparkle) and I absolutely love it. I bought it as my first guitar and it ROCKS, although I will point out that the design doesn't look extremely pleasing in broad daylight, but on a stage with overhead lights it looks amazing. The lights reflect, making the guitar look angelic almost. I love it.
ОтветитьBuying a “budget guitar” is always a risk, especially if you don’t have the skills or tools to make adjustments or set up a guitar yourself. A professional luthier might just tell you it’s not worth fixing or impossible to fix.
ОтветитьHello,
where are the guitars made? and who is behind Jet?
Just started watching these videos. Love his enthusiasm. I was a drummer with a love of guitars, but they never used to let me go near them. I had a rubbish cheap electric that sounded great when I put it through my bro's equipment/effects and used it for writing my own crap songs, haha, happy times!
ОтветитьI have two Jet guitars, mostly as a result of this video!
I wanted a cheaper end guitar, possibly to mod, and was considering either Squier or Yamaha until i discovered Jet.
I have a JT 300 and a JJ 350(which isn't in this video). Overall, both are excellent quality guitars for the money, they have the same Modern C shaped neck, which feels good, smooth and not 'glossy', the frets are well finished, no standouts or uneven finishing. Tuners are decent and quite firm in action, both guitars hold their tuning really well. There's no issues with neck pockets, its a snug, well machined fit.
The body finishes are great, very even, no sign of overspray or finish blemishes, the T Style is a sunburst, so you can see the wood grain. Mine is a two piece and it's a decent quality bit of wood. It isn't bookmarked, but it's a ok match. Seems to be Basswood. The JJ 350, which is kind of Jaguar/Jazzmaster shaped, is a fine gloss black, with a slightly odd, staggered string through body arrangment going on. There's a colossal amount of cutaway on the JJ 350, you can reach the top frets without any problem at all.
Both of mine have ceramic pickups, they don't sound terrible, you can get a lot of really usable sounds out of both guitars, but they are the most obvious weak point. The electronics are probably the next most obvious, I'm guessing they may not be top quality, but it is worth pointing out they work really well. The pots have a decent taper to them, so they don't suddenly cut off the tone or volume at a random point, you do actually get a decent roll off all the way down to zero.
Some of the more expensive models have Wilkinson parts, locking tuners, alnico pickups etc, all I've seen or played in store have looked and felt great, including one of the multi colour ones in this video, that was a nice looking bit of wood used for the body actually! Same with the birds eye maple style one Jet do, in the flesh it's a quality bit of wood!
There's not much to complain about at the price, I'd really have to nitpick...the supplied strings are rubbish, but you expect that, the knobs on the JJ 350 are cheap looking plastic which still had the moulding tags on. Some people might object to the old style three saddles instead of six on the JT, but that's about it.
I think they put the competition to shame, certainly the two makes i was considering and tried in store alongside the Jets, there really was no real comparison,...the other makes had ill fitting neck pockets, finish issues, didnt sound as good to my ears and generally didn't feel the same quality.
I'd say if you were in the market for a budget, or not so budget guitar, Jet are definitely worth your time to at least take a look.
The 450 and 600 😍🤩😍🤩
ОтветитьNice soft yellow look. I have got Jet400 the same color. Fantastic
ОтветитьSomeone recommend the js 600?
ОтветитьCan you talk more about the tremelo system in these guitars?
I really want a locking trem system where when you break a string you can put a new one on quickly, like a regular guitar.
Can you do that with this guitar?
about the trem system.
If not which ones can you do that with?
In fact that would make a great video. All about trem systems.
If you do that please make sure to include the Vega trem.
I’m looking for a cheaper guitar (under 800) where I can play some Van Halen. But I also want some diversity. This guitar may be the thing but I need to know more
How do they compare with Harley Benton in similar price categories? Btw great video ✌🏻
ОтветитьIs it just me or do they look small?
ОтветитьHey man. I am loving your channel and it was great to meet you briefly last week at RH. Keep up the great work and see you soon!_ Jem :)
ОтветитьHarley Benton vs JT300?
Ответить
