So wait.. is it still an ultralight or would i need a pilots license for it

How would it handle a bird strike during that pass?
ОтветитьSorry, but that is NOT, an ultralight. The term, “Worlds fastest Ultralight”, is an oxymoron.
ОтветитьThe dr killer
ОтветитьAh, I see the source of confusion; that is, in fact, an aeroplane and needs to be moving forward at a fair clip lest gravity catch up to it and pull it from the sky.
ОтветитьSo it weighs 250#'s?
Ответить55 mph?
ОтветитьIn the hands of an unlicensed pilot....
THAT can't be a good thing!
Yah, call that bullshit. If you dive, of course you will gain tremendous speed. I've red-lined a 210 at 270MPH. Doesn't mean that is the cruise speed.
ОтветитьReminiscent of a WWII fighter around the end of the war.
ОтветитьJust get a pilots license. It's cheaper. I don't know a lot about the rules and regs of flying, but I get the feeling this thing is for pilots who can no longer pass their flight physical.
ОтветитьTo me, it looks like an electric RC v-tail, with dubbed sound.
Just sayin.......
That reminds me of the pass that’s getting Trent Palmer’s license pulled 🤔
ОтветитьImagine the stresses on the airframe! I would also gather that, enjoying the scenery is not a high priority.
Ответить0 seconds ago
Thats 120kt; maybe 125 at best... and its going downhill to get to that speed which drops off to about 100 by the time it reaches the other end... motor isn't even running at full throttle... yep, plenty light sport 912 rotax powered aircraft will hit 175kt down hill... maybe it was flying into a 50kt headwind so the groundspeed caused poor judgement... Its a bit like a modernised 90's Europa Classic with better fowler flaps; that'll do 180kt in level flight with a 914 on a calm day
State the speed in KpH to make it sound better. State it in knots, because planes use knots. 172 .7 knots suddenly doesn't sound all that impressive.
ОтветитьAbsolutley not an ultralight in a LARGE part of the world...so WORLD fastest Ultralight is a deceptive advertising.
ОтветитьSo this video is clearly CLICKBAIT
I'll eat my hat if that speed has been fact checked ????
Other countries ultralights do not qualify as an ultralight here. Max speed 50 mph here.
ОтветитьFast but expensive. $215,000
ОтветитьAlmost sounds like a Spitfire, awesome!
ОтветитьNo way is that anywhere near 200.
ОтветитьThe best feature of an ultralight vehicle is : "To fly Low & slow".
ОтветитьDid anyone else notice the unidentified that went across the path of the plane??? right around 29 seconds on the video.
ОтветитьI wonder what the fuel burn would be per hour ? I bet it's a arm and a leg !
ОтветитьNo way that's 320..
ОтветитьBruh. That's MAYBE 250km/h 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьHmmm. Having worked in Indycar for several years, I got pretty used to small vehicles traveling fast mere yards from me. I love homebuilts and I have my Light Sport license, so I love airplanes of all sorts. I'm just saying that this aircraft does not appear to me to be traveling 198mph (329 kph). Seems more like maybe 165 - 170mph to me. But show me the data and I'll gladly shut up, because I WANT this to be true. :)
ОтветитьWas that Mike patey holding your beer in that clip Eva??
Ответитьlooks like a lot of sailplane trailers
ОтветитьIt looks like one of those vintage rc pylon racers but with a canopy
ОтветитьYou can do anything you want until you're caught.
ОтветитьFaa wants your license because you did not land and it was in an area where houses might be
ОтветитьHmm commented when there were 103 comments.
Love it but that aint no ultralight.
Disregarding the qualifying as an ultralight in various countries, I believe that true ultralight fans would not be interested in such a rocket--especially considering the price!
ОтветитьIf the FAR 103 were updated, to weight limit to say 300lb and speeds up to 120mph. The LS builders would rethink their situation.
Ответить"THAT'S A ULTRALIGHT....I don't know?"
ОтветитьDepends on which country you're in if this can even be classified as an "ultralight ." In the U.S. this (very sweet aircraft) would be too fast to be a LEGAL ultralight.
And with it's (shy of) 1/4 million dollar price tag I can go just as fast with my sub $100,000 experimental. 🤣 Same speed for less than half the price.
That's not an ultralight. It has 2 seats weighs more than 250lbs and exceeds 60 mph ! And is probably Ultra expensive. And how many gallons of fuel does it carry? I believe what we're looking at is a Experimental type of airplane, unless it this another European union video, then I don't know what the hell I'm talking about. My Trike is a "ultralight" no license required.
ОтветитьPavullo!
ОтветитьHard pass
ОтветитьWhen I first saw Risen I was immediately infatuated but could tell straight away that she would be underrated and underappreciated in her class.
ОтветитьSo what makes it qualify as an Ultralight? Or is that just what you named it?
ОтветитьSorry but I like a little more fuselage around me. I would fit like a Tuna in a Sardine can!
Ответитьthat looks too fun.
Ответить172 knots is still slow.
ОтветитьWhat person in aviation goes by KPH?
ОтветитьThat is one fast machine....
