The history of Khiva is long, and it is said to have been built more than 2,500 years ago.
The old town of Khiva is divided into two sections: Itchan Kala, surrounded by the inner wall, and Dishan Kala, surrounded by the outer wall, and Itchan Kala is a World Heritage Site.
Today's walk starts from the West Gate called Ota Darvaza (Ota Gate).
