there's actually a theory that the "bad" ending of demon souls actually leads into dark souls.


* both demon souls end & dark souls begin with the world enveloped in a colorless fog.

* all the souls are gathered in one place by the end/ beginning (old one/ first flame respectively)

* the old one's body looks like wood, which is the perfect fuel for fires

* the old one is deep beneath the nexus, which could have become an archology with the rock growing around its form. (first flame is in a cavern, surging in a line like a burning corpse)

* the souls that come from the flame are cursed, like they have been irrevocably poisoned.

* hollows are likely incredibly old soul starved.

Stockpile tom didn't deserve this. He's a good man.

There's a beautiful simplicity in Demon Souls' story. Like a grim faerytale with intervowen threads. Although I prefer the more intricate webs of the follow-ups, this is some primal stuff. The Old One and the Maiden in Black especially are such an interesting pair.

I love how, technically, in all of these games, our character is supposed to be the most badass, unstoppable, almost psychotic, one man Army. Meanwhile, John Souls, my Biblically accurate chosen one, just got jumped by a single rat.

The way your voice goes up and down in the same way, sentence after sentence is maddening.

I like seeing the different takes people have on the small details in these games. The porpoise of the soldiers around astria being sent to kill her or being her prior protectors being one I've seen a few differences.

I know this may be strange, but something about the repititive cadence of your narration was getting to me. It followed a similar pattern and tonality from sentence to sentence. Once I noticed it I couldnt unhear it.

This actually begs the question, concerning who God is in Chapter 1 of this video, that if God exists in Demon’s Souls, wouldn’t that mean Jesus does too? If anything, our character (by expelling & killing demons) are doing God & Christ a favor by cleansing Boletaria & setting its people free from anymore danger & death at the hands of the False King.

Finally, been waiting for a lore explained ever since I beat demon's souls.
