Best Shield Infantry units in Bannerlord? (Infantry Tournament 2022)

Strugian axemen are shock troops i don't know why you put them in the group with spearmen and all the rest. However aserai infantry performed surprisingly super well even against them. I'd say they are the best infantry in the game , as excel as anticav as well almost as menavlions. Their shield (covers whole body) plays a big role against archery as well.

So basically Othsworn are actually good because they also have throwing weapons whichbwould have aided them against the legionairy.

Aserai Veterans are actually great against a regular enemy army made of mixed tier troops whereas Legionaries are only good against top tiers because of their mace

For some reason the Aserai Veteran Infantry has 160 one handed skill instead of the usual 130. Pls fix taleworlds

Can anyone explain why heavyaxemen win over heavy spearman? I know they win but it just doesn’t make sense when you look at armor/stats weapons.

Will you do a standard infantry test later?
In my tests right before the release vladian sergeants were second best, and even now they perform almost on par with empire legionaries (sometimes they win, sometimes they lose).
The fact that they lost in round one simply because they had the strongest opponent puts them in bad light xD.

omg battanian sucks a lot they should buff throwing weapon and make better armors for them

i'm guessing that the mace that the legionaries have helps especially against higher tier units, i wonder if they are also the best against lower tiers.

Uf, I've been expecting both Battanian troops to perform much better. I was thinking that their axes mean something in close combat!

Aserai are the worst faction, still. All of their tier 5 units are at best, 3rd or 4th place or lower, their Tiers 1-4 have the weakest HP and weak armor and weapons. Aserai needs massive buffs.

Had any shield broken in tournament? I mean, is there sense in anti-shield bonus at the axes?

Great video! I kinda want to try this now, but with a Loser's bracket; maybe Vlandian Sergeants would've done better had they not been matched up with the Imperials in Round 1.

Vlandian Sergeants have a 33% chance to spawn without cape which reduces their armour by quite a bit, such a dumb oversight by TW.

Putting the soldiers further away from each other will give more accurate results. We need to see the impact of the throwing weapons
