ОтветитьI have had two Tikka rifles and have found them more accurate than rifles that I had specially built for 1000 yard competitions. They are extremely accurate without having to muck about with seating depth. On top of that they are quite cheap for what you get, also the barrels last longer than most. I had one fitted with a bench rest stock and was able to shoot ten rounds for a group of .3moa at one hundred yards. I shoot groups small than that, but not ten shot groups. The gun cost me just over $1700 with a muzzle brake attached.
ОтветитьI own a Tikka TACT A1 in 6.5 Creedmoor and it is insanely accurate for a factory rifle. I can’t say enough good things about it. It just shoots like a champ. Even the Berger 140 gr. VLD’s, which can be temperamental, are no problem. It shoots them at .3 to .4 moa, without even fiddling with the seating depth. I just picked the longest seating depth that would fit in the magazine (approx. 40 Thou jump), just like I’ve done with the less finicky Berger hybrids. It shoots them all great without bothering to find nodes or the use of a tuner. The rifle is really nicely made, the bolt action is legendary Tikka buttery smooth, the magazine feeds perfectly and the folding stock locks up tight as a bank vault. Best money I’ve spent on a rifle yet.

ОтветитьNato countries along with Australia conducted a survey of what is really needed in a sniper rifle. They looked at conflicts since Vietnam and determined that there were two requirements and neither required a range longer than 800m. So all this rubbish about 2000m accuracy was irrelevant. They also determined that using a 50cal was a waste, required two people and could not be stealthy. The 338 Lapua Mag came out on top for anti material shooting and the 308 was still relevant at closer range.
The war in Ukraine has also tossed up similar observations, saying that soft targets at less than 1000m are rare and all that did was bring in a mortar strike before the sniper team decamped. In fact the war has shown that only 10% of the combat involved soldiers using personal weapons, including snipers. In most cases forward units don't even see the enemy. It's a war of drones dropping cheap munitions and artillery. Tanks have almost been made almost redundant and airstrikes are too risky as a new generation of shoulder fired missiles rendering helicopters and ground attach fixed wing too expensive to risk using. As for fighters, air to air combat is non existent.
Tikka Tac A1, a budget rifle that isn't a rifle that shocked the world. :)
Ответитьthe .50+ anti-material/precision platforms are where the extreme range accuracy is now; TAC-50, hecate II, AX50, alligator, etc.

Ответить2 of the 5 rifles featured here are of Finnish origin. Now we see why some people say Finland can hold its ground against the Russians.
NATO is so much stronger now with Finland & Sweden in the fold.
I love how the design of some snipers here comes from the latest dlq33 from call of duty mobile
ОтветитьThe story of how Accuracy international came into being is quite an amazing one. Two British working class lads who designed something that got them a Government contract and they didn`t even have their own Manufacturing plant.
