Kapil is the greatest GAME CHANGER in the history of cricket. He was equally effective with batting, bowling and fielding abilities. A true definitiin of an all rounder and IMPACT PLAYER.
If not for his knee surgery in 1985, he could have acheived more with the ball.
Had he curbed his natural instincts he could have easily acheived 40 plus average with the bat.

He never did justice to his batting. Remained flopped as a batsman in 90s. His contemporaries like Imran and Botham could bat at number 3 or opening slot during the later part of their careers. He on that other hand batted more like a tailender despite being so talented.

Wow...Look at the Batting depth...upto 09 players can bat...for our indian team....And More coming at no.9 which is very rare for any wicket keeper batsman.😊

Matrin Crowe stumping by Kiran More was cheating. If third umpire were there then it would have been not out and also he would have been banned for couple of matches for not keeping up with spirit of the game.

Kapil Dev is the real fighter. He and srikanth and young Azhar could score quick runs from the shadow of the test matches in this team. 200 - 225 was very good score in those days and if a team could score 250-275 they would surely going to win the match. It was more than 350-360 plus equivalent score compare to today's game. Rules had changed, fitness level had improved, more security measures are in the game now but the emotion of crowd is unchanged. Those was sweet memories.

Everybody remember that kapil played in dry,red, cracked for spin oriented indian patches, if played in wi, eng or nz, Hadley,imran and Botham are nothing to kapil, yes he is the greatest, moreover in 40 degree temperature Hadley or Botham could not bowling here, only the great athlit kapil did this impossible job of 434 wkts.

इसी world cup में newzealand से दूसरे match में गावस्कर और श्रीकांत ने मारा था पटक के। गावस्कर की century हुई थी(the only ODI century), क्योंकि श्रीकांत pitch पर disbalanced होकर गिरने की वजह से runout हो गए थे। Chase करने के लिए score काफ़ी कम था और newzealand का इतना कम score बना था चेतन शर्मा की ज़बरदस्त hattrick की वजह से।
