How To Easily Defeat Laurence - Bloodborne

Beat it in two tries on first play through.. and now I’m NG+ I’ve been stuck for the last two hours 😫

Could they have made the runback ANY worse 🙄

I don’t get how you don’t get hit by his lava spray in phase 3. I get hit everytime which makes this impossible. I try running or dodging to the side but it doesn’t matter. I always get hit.

This is such a bad boss its un believable

Ice had a hyper aggresive playstyle, got ludvig in 6 tries maria first, this guy im on my 25th try…

As a sub-par gamer I thought this was great and definitely helped. Full disclosure - the old Hunter Bone item makes his first phase a cake walk 😅

It's the third phase on having trouble with man I'm really good up until then

My fights go better than this already so that is encouraging I guess because it just shows that once in a while you get lucky no matter how terrible you are so I guess I'll get lucky here sometime probably much quicker than this person here

Hoonters, keep in mind, these are all great strats, but it’s still not going to be “easy”. I used these strategies in my ng+ run through the dlc (first time playing the dlc) and they did help, BUT it’s still an incredibly annoying fight due to the awkward size of the arena (long but narrow) and just how long Lawrences third phase can last if he’s not doing the lava spew. I found it a more frustrating fight than orphan but, crucially, not more difficult. Just be patient and willing to learn the timing of the attacks, they’re not too hard but you really gotta stay focused

Nah this boss sucks. Getting to it is annoying enough. Fuck the trophy and this game both

I found it much more effective to dodge in a clockwise rotation around the boss to get to his back and then back off, wait for him to around turn around, and repeat. Legless phase I lock onto him and spam the side dodge sticking to his smaller arm typically. I like to bait out his lava vomit attacks and side dash to get to his head and attack. His moveset isn’t very complex, his damage makes this a slog for people.

It required so much focus, commitment and sheer fking will that by the time I finally won, I was mentally drained asf. The feeling of joy, relief and exhaustion mixed forcing me take a few deep breaths and rest my mind for a bit.
Honestly bloodborne is the first game to make me focus so much and feel so many emotions at the same time!

That final phase is so much easier. Three times he took me to beat. Third try was the first attempt i got to his final phase. Bait him to do that flamethrower attack and then punish.

This boss sucks. Literally just the first boss of the game but with fire and worst

Finally beat him. Baiting him for his lava attack and then hitting him 2-3 times during his final phase works like a charm. Thank you

Ng+ makes this hell
Some bosses they just made way too hard in ng+. Micolash, Ludwig, Laurence, etc.

Doing the entire dlc in ng+ and this guy the final boss I need to finish the dlc

What i did is use ludwig sword in his first and 2nd form and saw cleaver on his 3rd form.

Once I got the skull of lawrence, I headed to his boss fight. I summoned the dude that you can summon on ludwig and I managed to end him on my first try. He always did moves that left him wide open? So Im considering it was all luck.

That boss is so fuckin stupid

My advice...hit hard heal fast

It’s straight bs that in ng+ and in phase 2 he just one shots you with random swipe all the time

This boss is so disappointing. Terrible boss fight and terrible 3rd phase. Just bad design all around.

The 3rd phase on ng+ is actually impossible, can’t get any hits in, takes away like 80% of your health bar and when I do hit him I do like 1% damage…

Laurence is one of the bosses ever made

Started playing dlc on ng+++ because I wanted to get all the different endings..insanely tough boss fights

I must be in ng+ or something because some of his attacks just one shot me even tho I have 1692 hp. This is my first time fighting him too so fml

No boss has never made me want to break my controller so badly before, hardest boss in bloodborne IMO. I can get him to his third phase but for some reason I just can't kill him. Everytime I circle around him in his third phase he finds some way to 1 shot me.

Even at level 102 it took me 8-10 tries to beat him, and honestly got lucky in the end with no bloodviles left and one hit from dying 😅🔥

So I played all of the dlc on NG+ and honestly Laurence may be the hardest boss I’ve played in any of the soulsborne games. His hp is ludicrous and he does crazy damage. As of writing this I still haven’t beat him after roughly 3-4 hours

This fight wouldn’t be so bad if the walk back was so annoying

this is basically bs, splash damage and barely any time to get out from near him. bs

I beat this dude first try but on NG+ he is killing me in just 2 hits 😂 I know I can learn his patterns but the road back to this boss is just too much that's why I am watching this video 😂

First 25 tries I kept trying to get behind, but soon after I realized it's better to stay in front and have a better view of when he does his triple sweep combos. Get right in front of him to bait his triple pound attack, which gives a big opening to hit after the third hit. Stay away when he does his sweep attack combos.

I INSTANTLY went from being unable to get past half HP to getting to 1/8 HP after changing my strategy from getting behind to staying in front and being more selective with when I put in hits. Just simply don't get near or try to hit during his sweep combos because those are impossible to deal with unless you're really good. I finally beat him at 32 tries, only 7 tries after changing strategy.

On NG+ this fight is bloody hard. Such a massive health pool 🤕

I’m literally lvl 257 with 80 vitality and I’m getting one shoted this is impossible
