The performing KAJ trio is from Finlands Swedish speaking area and at least I want them to win the contest... here is some facts about the Finnish sauna:

The magic of the Finnish sauna lies in its ability to connect deeply with both body and mind, no matter the season. Here’s why it feels so good:

Thermal Contrast Therapy: In the sauna, the heat dilates blood vessels and promotes circulation, helping your body relax. When followed by a cold plunge or cool air, it shocks your system (in a good way!), energizing you and releasing endorphins. This contrast is invigorating in summer and a cozy escape in winter.

Muscle Relaxation and Tension Relief: The warmth penetrates deep into your muscles, easing tension and soreness. It’s like a warm hug after a long day, whether you’ve been braving the cold or basking in the sun.

Sweat and Detoxification: Sweating profusely helps to flush out toxins and leaves you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. A sauna day gives your body a chance to reset.

Cultural Connection: In Finland, saunas are more than just physical—they’re a cherished tradition. Sharing a sauna with friends or family fosters a sense of connection and relaxation, enhancing the overall experience.

Mood Booster: The heat stimulates the release of feel-good chemicals in your brain, improving mood and reducing stress. No wonder Finns are some of the happiest people in the world!

Whether it's freezing and snowing or warm and sunny, the sauna offers a unique and restorative escape that adapts to any weather.

Not Finnish Swedes but Swedish speaking finns. Using about 5 finnish words among the Swedish lyrics, finnish words which all swedes recognize
. It's a kind of a joke between swedes and finns.

And the suites: a joke too. The colour refers to what swedes believe finns are wearing.

We are neighbors, we love each other but we also love to tease each other. Amen

As a swede who stopped watching both mello and eurovision because I find the majority just sucks most of the time this time I will be watching because this is the best thing we have sent in ages. Down with all the boring generic stuff. They actually broke the record for most votes ever in melodifestivalen.

Bara=only bada=2 bathe 3. bastu=sauna. In Helsinki we easily can say "Mennääks baseen", so we use it in slang.. Easiest 12 points from Finland. Smart :D

The funny thing with this song is that it used to be just a jokey song about Finnish culture that visited Melodifestivalen, but it was so good that it won the whole thing and now the rest of Europe is confused as to why we have a "Finnish" song representing us 🤣

The song is in Swedish with some Finnish words.

Bara Bada Bastu is Swedish for Only Hanging In The Sauna 😉😂

Arja Saijonmaa is a Finnish singer.

She has competed in both the Swedish and the Finnish Melodifestivlen a couple of times.

KAJ are going to make so many people play that song this summer while they hang out in their Saunas here in Scandinavia 🍻 🥵😅

🎶
För vi ska bara bada bastu,
bara bada bastu,
bara, bara, bara, bara,
bara bada bastu.
🤣 🇸🇪

Cause we will only hang in the sauna,
only hang in the sauna,
only, only, only, only,
only hang in the sauna.
🤣 🇬🇧
