Everyone talks about how strict and safe Rust is.
In the first program I wrote, I had a runtime crash due to integer overflow, because the compiler "helpfully" changed my variables from the default i32 to u16 based on them being passed to a function 100 lines later. (Type inferred by usage.)
Compiler was completely silent (clippy too) and program crashed every time.
