A house cleaning friend was having a house built and had to fight against the builders to not have glass doors installed. She says they are the worst thing ever, and people dont realize how impossible they are to keep clean.

Late to the party, broke my phone so out the loop a few months lol. Been following for years, also adhd and autism and squirrel like. But shower doors? Buy some collinite car wax . It’s cheap , it is detergent proof for about eight months. Clean the glass once then wax both sides. No more streaks and smudges wipe off straight away. Problem with us special people is you may find you just need to watch the water sheeting off the glass for hours

We r coping too much rain atm, we get cyclones and a monsoon season but it does affect North Queensland. Iwe get the back last too. We live at the top of a hill but our shed will still flood. but like you we didn’t talk to the neighbours as the pool leaked, heater was not working and retaining wall was stuffed. I used to be a weekend warrior but that no longer works for me! Between being on a project that requires a lot of weekend work and having a young child, there's not enough free time on the weekend to get much done. My housework has been seriously neglected and I don't even know where to begin. It's overwhelming! It feels like I need a staycation from work just to get my house in order.

I’m with you about the Swiffer duster. I’ll use Melissa’s suggestion if I run out of refills. But I’m team Swiffer all the way! (I never believed the commercials until I tried it and was shocked, and grossed out that there was that much dust)!

The realtor would have to disclose this when you were buying and your insurance should have been higher because of the house being on a flood plane . I don’t think you dropped the ball. I think the realtor and the insurance company definately did. I hope you put in a sump pump in the basement

I noticed that you keep your towels on your oven door. I used to do that but it was always a pain when using the oven that they were dusting the floor in front of the oven. I got a magnetic curtain rod in silver and put it on the fornt of my silver refrigerator and hang them there. They are handy, visible, and also out of the way of work. The blinds cleaning tool is best for bathroom and kitchen blinds as they tend to have dust "glued" to them becasue of mousture and/or grease and it works better than a dry swiffer will.

Noooo!!! Your limestone shower floor you are using the wrong thing. But I sell tile so maybe it’s good you’re telling people how to ruin it. (So thank you)
Your walls= ceramic/ porcelain. Baked on glaze like a mug or a dish. You can use anything to clean it.
Your shower floor= real limestone. Porous 10-15% water absorption rate. You should seal it, keep it sealed and use ph neutral cleaners.
You just melted a layer of stone off the top.
Grout: also porous. 4-10 water absorption rate. You cleaned it by resolving a layer.
Advice: read up on how to clean stone & grout. Look at manufacturer directions. The grout manufacturers even have phone numbers you can call and ask cleaning directions (TEC).
The stone over time will look like you took a wire brush and scraped it. You scraped it with acids & the grout will just disappear.

Get advice from a real estate attorney. Your water flooding issues flood plain etc. By law should have been disclose prior to contract signing. Flood plain insurance very expensive also. Don't waste time there may be a deadline re filing claim. Don't go to realtor go to attorney maybe you had one representing you at closing? I'm so sorry your experience. Clearly this is why house put on market. Don't let them get away with it. Scumbags! PS being respectful! Did not state their true verifiable identity. God bless!

Look into having french drains installed around your house .....

Norwwx envirocloth and water and window cloth. that is all you need. can't get any easier than that. Removes 99% bacteria. I don't use chemicals anymore.

I clean for a living and I have come to a place where I will not take on homes with tile showers and glass doors. They are so much trouble and I am over it.

I find taping the Swifter pad on the holder w/ small piece of masking tape keeps it from slipping off.

It is unhealthy to put Rain-X inside your shower. First of all it's toxic and when water hits you will be standing in toxic water I know it goes down the drain however your skin does absorb it.

In my childhood home saturday was a cleaning day from too to bottom 😊 very useful video.

I've always been a bit of a weekend warrior but finding it a bit overwhelming now we're in a 4 bed house, i might try this task master thing and see how i get on. Laundry is an issue for us as we dont have a dryer so everything needs hung up (outside if weather allows, or on a heated airer indoors) but I'm sure I can adapt the plan for my own household

Wax the glass.

So the reason there is a squeegee on your mop is because squeegees are the most amazing thing ever for smooth floors... in dry mode, they sweep like a broom on steroids! In wet mode, you know how mops just kind of push dirty around? Squeegees let you control it and move it. In some other countries they are hip on squeegees and they can actually use them with a special rectangular bucket thing to do the entire mopping job with only the squeegee! Floor squeegees are the thing that we need to properly discover here in North America.
