Plot twist: The real mastermind is Shuichi and Tsumugi lied about her being the mastermind 😂

Why do i feel like kokichi would have been the main character is that was true

I think it would be so cool if Shuichi was the mastermind- if you still started the game as Kaede then Shuichi could’ve done anything he wanted in chapter 1 without there being any need to make subtle references in the dialogue because he isn’t the Protag yet

If it had turned out that Shuichi had intentionally wiped his own memory along with everyone else’s only to later rediscover that he (and by extension the player) was the Mastermind the entire time, this game would INSTANTLY be my favorite.

Edit: Following this discovery Shuichi remembers everything and reverts to his “true nature” while still making an effort to hide his discovery from everyone else and utilizing his regained memory to spin the entire killing game out of control on a whim for the joy of it. All whilst the player can do nothing but sit back and watch as all goes down in ruins or embrace this new objective and choose to truly play the role of the villain.

Better yet, Shuichi makes this discovery without the player even being aware of it at first. Maybe he discovers a note of some sort or a picture. The player is allowed to read/see it, but they don’t know what it means. Shuichi makes it apparent that he knows what it means but doesn’t elaborate further. From that point forward, the other Ultimates + the player take note of changes in Shuichi’s behavior up until when it’s revealed once and for all that he was the mastermind all along.

VERY BIG PLOT TWIST: Kaede "dies" (she's the mastermind) and continues watching everyone and then suddenly they find out Shuichi is the mastermind TOO and then she's confused as they're both actually masterminds
