I always tried to do the glitch that plays the song in all the orbiter because of how pretty that song is ❤️

Most games start you at the character creator screen, this one makes you find yourself in more ways than one.

Warframe has absolutely fantastic music direction. It fits with the context of what's going on so well. This mission is case in point. The music, the gameplay and the atmosphere all fit together perfectly. I had a similar reaction to yours. I just sat speechless for a good amount of time, logged out of the game and spent the rest of the day trying to collect my thoughts. It's one of the most profound moments in gaming history.

This was one of the most poignant moments I've experienced in a vid game ... and this in a game that is primarily a looter/shooter. The Warframe devs are very talented game designers.

What other game can just hit you with a character creation screen dozens or even hundreds hours in, right? I remember just playing this game for the grind and art style and then BOOM suddenly there is a story. Playing through these quests as they came out was such an experience. I mean, it still is, but nowadays i expect my mind to be blown away.

This is What You Are will pretty much always be the best song in Warframe, though there are tons of contenders.
Throughout the game as you have seen they use This is What You Are as a lemotiff all the time. my favorite version of the song is the one that plays after the Lotus leaves, where it gains an extra section at the end. The song begins as normal, with a motherly voice singing, calling for her children to follow, followed by a chorus of children, guided by her, connected, whole, and in sync. But the new version adds a second half where it plays the first part where the mother sings again, but without her voice, she's gone. What follows is another chorus of children, disorganized, out of sync, and lost.

Making the connection of the life breathing notes in the song to taking pain away and your words about your father, is such a profoundly aware link to the plot of The Sacrifice and what the Tenno do for the Warframe's tortured mind.

You've completed TS by the time I made this comment so you also know its plot but that was surprising to hear from someone; to make such a connection before seeing the story.

This was the moment that turned Warframe from a fun game into one of my top 5 favorite games - single handedly. When that character creation screen popped in with the music after all that prior buildup, there's no going back from that moment. I think we all Tenno pretty much had the same experience you had. It'll forever be my favorite moment in gaming.

I am a 8+ year warframe player also run a Shadow clan in game. We have strict rules for chat because of this quest. When we get a new player all vets are put on "spoiler alert" and no one speaks of this or the operator while they are in voice chat so this isn't spoiled for the new players. The reaction to this quest never gets old. Stick with the game Marco you just found the tip of the iceberg with this game.

It's Warframe, going harder in every way than a free game has any business doing.
Giving you the character creator after like 100 hours of gameplay is such a ridiculously mind-blowing moment. PLaying or watching this quest still moves me, even after dozens of times.

I started playing this game in 2014 and I kinda liked it but seeing as though I also played Destiny when it came out, I just enjoyed Destiny more. When I did play though, I wasn’t really into the story since there were so many questions that I just stuck to “well I just wanna get cool things and that’s it.” I played off and on until around when the Eidolon stuff was happening and then cut myself from it until a couple weeks ago. I can appreciate the story for being good quality for a free to play and they seem to have changed things quite a bit where I don’t feel as bored as I did. I’m still putting some pieces together that I didn’t pick up on back then but I definitely want to immerse myself more than ever since I feel 10 years ago I didn’t give it the chance like I tried to with Destiny for all these years.

Darksiders Genesis- Astarte

I’m not sure if you’ve heard it. I love their whole soundtrack, this was one of the most epic songs I’ve heard in a boss fight. Please anyone give it a listen, it deserves attention.

Second Dream's always been the huge reveal that the community always wants or rather tries to keep it secret for the newer players. As I still remember when people would actively tell others to not use their Operators whenever they had a new player who hasn't done the Second Dream yet.
Not sure if that tradition's kept up nowadays.

Warframe is a game that is near and dear to my heart, and I say this as someone who has been on an indefinite hiatus for literal years.

I started playing back before the orbiter and landing craft were a thing. Back when all we had was a mostly disconnected star map, when relics weren't a thing and void keys were, and back when a stamina bar existed and wall running was actually wall running, not wall hopping. I watched its growing pains, followed every event, every update, up until a little after railjack was released. I miss this game dearly, but I likely won't be returning, due to my obsession with collecting everything and the amount of content I've missed and that will require a whole lot of time to grind for, time that I don't have.

But regardless of whether or not I still play the game, if anyone were to ask me to recommend a looter shooter, Warframe would be the first suggestion. Not because it's the best game; it doesn't have the best gunplay, it doesn't have the best raids, there's a whole bunch of systems put in but poorly integrated and eventually abandoned. But the developers have won my undying respect with how much they bother to actually listen to the community. Even if the game itself is an overcomplicated mishmash of a whole bunch of different systems, there is no denying the amount of effort and dare I say it, love, that the devs have put into the game (effort that actually translated into a wonderful, albeit flawed, experience).

And all from a studio told repeatedly that their game idea would never sell.

I may no longer be a space ninja, but I will always look back on my time amongst the rank of the Tenno fondly. Digital Extremes is a truly respectable game company.

Also...Brick.
