Envy Multifocal Lens. Early Experience. Envy v Odyssey. Patient Experience. Ep 2. Shannon Wong, MD

Our patient shares his observations with the Envy multifocal lens in his right eye and the odyssey multifocal lens in his left eye. He received the odyssey lens implants to both eyes on November 6, 2024, was bothered by nighttime halos from the odyssey lens and therefore underwent intraocular lens exchange to remove the odyssey from his right eye and replace it with the envy lens on February 10, 2025.

He shares his observations 3 weeks after having the envy lens implanted into his right eye.

The envy and odyssey multifocal lenses are premium lens implants used during premium lens replacement (aka refractive lens exchange) and premium cataract surgery designed to enable patients to see far/mid and near with minimal to no use of glasses.

As of the date of this video, I have placed 91 envy lenses and 450+ odyssey lenses.

Both of these lens implants have their unique strengths and weaknesses. We are learning through our patients which lens implants work best and deliver the best overall vision.
