As a salesman of calculators, and other office supplies, I would NOT recommend third party calculators to be given to children as they often suffer from :

-poor quality
-hyped marketing campaigns but flops in terms of product usability (see poor quality). You pay less sure, but look, if I want to buy one thing for a lot and never pay for a duplicate, I’d say that’s a lot smarter than paying many times over due to multiple failures.

The casio looks like its made like a tank and will survive longer than you do meanwhile that second one looks cheap and that would break in less than 2 days of usage also do i need to mention that fragile and exposed ribbon cable connecting the 2 halves

See calculator technology is where it is on purpose. School boards want calculators to be big, bulky, and dumb, so that they hope people dont cheat with them. This is nice in premise, but if I want something techy, I will get a nice graphing calculator with Color screen (oh wait I have had one for nearly a decade, oops). Just no real market for this thing, which is why they don't exist outside of alibaba.
