I mean you made it seem almost reasonable compared to the real experience of buying tickets from Ticketmaster. There isn't a hell horrible enough to represent how awful buying tickets from them is. Hell is actually impressed and knows they cannot possibly live up to the horror that is Ticketmaster.

In 1980, minimum wage was $2.90 an hour, and we paid $20 to go see the band heart, which was a wildly popular band at the time, at the peak of their career. If you do the math, that concert ticket was about worth 7 hours worth of working for a minimum wage. You go see an act today who is in the peak of their career, you are not going to get that ticket for 7 hours worth of minimum wage work. It's going to be more like, well, minimum wage is just over $7 an hour, and those tickets are going for what, $200 a pop maybe? $500 a pop? Oh, and we were on the 20th row on the floor. Not back in some nosebleed balcony across the street from the arena and the stage. Okay, I remember, my wife and I were looking at going to see Miranda lambert, even though neither of us is a country fan. She was at Billy Bob's and the tickets were over $100 each. That's about 14 hours worth of minimum wage employment, versus the 3 hours worth of minimum wage employment that it was required to go see a headliner back in the late 1970s.

Sounds like a problem that I'm too deaf and antisocial to have to worry about. It baffles me that people don't just boycott ticketmaster. No one NEEDS to see any show or concert. Any time I've been to one, it's been a miserable experience. Really just don't see the appeal. Just... find something else to do for a couple months until ticketmaster fixes the pricing problem and begs for people to give them a... reasonable amount of money again.

Dont use better help

Ticketmaster has gotten so bad in the last few years that you have to get a ticket during the presale (if you are lucky enough to find the code somewhere) within the first hour of the sale. Then you will be paying $99 for a ticket advertised as $50. But that is still a million times better than buying a ticket when the general sale opens up, where you will be paying $400 for that $50 seat.

Now that I know how much my wife spent on Taylor Swift tickets I will never again allow her to guilt trip me whenever I buy football tickets or on my model/card based hobby. when i heard that musicians nowadays dont barely earn anything from selling records so they have to be on tour all the time to sell tickets, i thought those tickets will become more and more available, both in location and price. and then, here we are.

i was in a similar situation when i couldn't go for the powertrip music festival with metallica, gnr, iron maide, tool, judas priest and my favourite band: ac/dc whom i have been waiting too see all my life in hope that they would be my first concert but the tickets are so damn overpriced
