Will definitely try the Juicy Lucy and Lola pizzas next time when I visit there.
Ответитьthat noodle soup is very light.
Ответитьi always buy papaya salad made fresh by papaya makers in person. that way you get to do quality control on the spot. I learned my lessons of buying pre-made papaya salads.
ОтветитьWouldn’t say those are traditional Hmong food. You should return and do a redo. Have someone introduce you to traditional Hmong food such as boiled pork with mustard greens and boiled chicken
ОтветитьDamn it... i would've love to meet you there if i knew you were gonna be in MN
ОтветитьThe “secret sauce” in papaya salad could be shrimp paste. This dish is very popular in Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.
ОтветитьDang it! I would've came over to ask for a picture. 🤣
ОтветитьYes you made it to MN! If you struggled with those noodles that truly scares me.
ОтветитьI wonder why he knodds his head everytime after taking a bite of food.

ОтветитьWow, nice to see you enjoy hmong food. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьMany years ago I enjoyed eating rice and sausage with the Hmong villagers but under different circumstances. I'm sure it has changed to suit the American palate😊
ОтветитьWow! That ALL looked great! If I ever happen to be in Minnesota I know where I'll be eating. Thanks Mike!
ОтветитьEating sticky rice with a fork and not your hands !!!! Noooooo
ОтветитьIf only i was at hmong village when you were there! I would love a photo! Thanks for trying out hmong food
ОтветитьHitting up all my favorite spots! Check out hmongtown market place and Nong’s bistro next time!
Ответитьlove the juicy lucy burgers. MN is so diverse, you can practically get any kind of food here. I'll have to go try out Lola.
ОтветитьOne of the very few times I've seen Mike flustered by the heat of a dish, haha
ОтветитьThose aren't traditional hmong food. Sticky rice, papaya salad, laab are lao food
ОтветитьI wouldn’t say those are traditional Hmong food but they are the kind of food we like to eat nowadays. Especially like at Hmong new year. Traditional Hmong food are much more simple such as boiled chicken and rice.
ОтветитьFun fact, Hmong people are the largest Asian subgroup in all of Minnesota. They're mostly around the Twin Cities: Saint Paul, Minneapolis, surrounding suburbs, AND even rural Minnesota. The State has fully embraced Hmong food and culture, because they have assimilated so well and have introduced their way of Life for Minnesotans to experience and indulge in.
ОтветитьThe kapo bowl of noodles hit better when you sprinkle sugar into it I'm not much of a spicy fan but what the sugar does is it makes it not spicy depending on how much you dump in. I used to live in AlbertLea about 8 minutes away from Austin but there are a lot of Koreans in South Minneapolis Metro area due to them going to the University of Minnesota.
Ответитьthat pizza looked goooooooood
ОтветитьWhen you say the noodles were spicy but kept going back for more hehe
ОтветитьIm glad you were able to enjoy your stay and eat some Hmong food. Please come back when the owner of Hmong Village opens up another one that will be located in Maplewood Mall. Its probably going to be the biggest hmong market place in the US. :) cant wait for you to review then.
ОтветитьNiam Neej Hwm makes the best papaya salad at Hmong village.
ОтветитьIf it's hot for Mike, then almost the rest of us dont even bother tryin!! Lol! 😂 😅🤤😭
ОтветитьHe makes it look so good but he has that gift to make anything look good to eat! I love 3 Color Drinks!!😂🤤
ОтветитьHmong food! 🤤🤤🤤
ОтветитьSorry Mike but Hmong don't haave a traditional food unless it's boil pork and vegetables or boil chicken with rice. Most of the food you see at the vendor are Thai and Laotian food.
ОтветитьHmong sausage is to die for.
ОтветитьHell yeah papaya salad
ОтветитьAs a Hmong person, for once, I can imagine the exact flavors that Mike is experiencing.
ОтветитьMike, if you aren’t watching JL Jupiter get over there. Love you both.
ОтветитьHey Mike! We just watched this and would love to meet you if you're still in the Twin Cities!!! We love you! :)
