ОтветитьI found this brief segment fascinating, particularly because it was posted seven years ago (2015ish). A bit ahead of its time it would seem, at least in terms of popularity and momentum.
Fascination aside, it concerns me that this topic might be driven more by opinion than fact. For example, the interviewee himself communicated a personal example of heath inequity but merely described a nurse as "failing" to take a critical action.
Failing to do something is not inequable unless it is motivated, in whole or in part, by a sense of superiority or desire to not take action based on who someone is (e.g., African American or Latino).
My point here is how necessary and.important it is to confirm and communicate the cause of the inequity. If that is not done, then the health equity movement will be nothing more than a movement of opinion instead of fact.
Just my two cents.
What it means is no more b doctors or nurses for me especially when they let you die for equity.
ОтветитьNot honest when narrative is controlled to suppress or be selective in exposure of experiences & data but worse when abuses are indulged. Abuse, harm, injury, fraud, theft, negligence, neglect, bigotry, bias, discrimination, racism, retaliation, reprisal beside parasitic exploitation among other violations & injustice encountered & endured but indulged by systematic injustice & systemic corruption that involves those perceived as bipoc et al. So ethical disparity, hypocrisy, & immorality characteristic of many people especially among organizations that promote & exploit conditions beside grave issues endured by any person yet abuses, injury, & disparity are indulged by promoting awful distinctions & dubious narrative often likened to misinforming propaganda also by those inferred.
ОтветитьIt’s not helpful to have ethnicity as a health inequality classification because it results in racism (by definition). Much better to use socio-economic group, religious belief, and migrants.
ОтветитьThis is helpful 👏🏾👏🏾
