That was so sweet when the little boy met his role model, Mario
ОтветитьI know that there’s definitely a legitimate and pretty large obligation on the part of English speakers worldwide to have the knowledge of at least some extremely simple basic words or phrases in the most prevalent language of any place you are traveling to that is not an English-speaking country like one that’s Spanish-speaking for example— but after watching this show for 17 seasons and counting, I really think that in circumstances like these where it is a basic life or death personal safety related activity (swimming, water/beach safety etc) that the tourists that come there from wherever around the world who aren’t English speaking have the exact same obligation to their hosts when they visit as well, linguistically speaking. The first two people that Chappo had to rescue (and then re-rescue immediately afterwards!) and then who wouldn’t allow him to be able to quickly attend to two other seriously in danger and drowning fellow visitors to the beach, is a great example of this idea because of their almost incomprehensible inability to understand or comprehend in any way at all what was supposed to be happening or anything that was going on, especially the simple basic one word instruction that he was trying to communicate for them to do in order for the rescue of another two drowning people to be successfully accomplished.
ОтветитьHad to laugh at Harries when he said "we ain't got a cape and we're making rescues every day",it was the way he said it that was funny.Had to admire young Azza who got his chance to meet Mario, hope he gets his dream one day.

ОтветитьI can understand why Harries got annoyed.
ОтветитьI can understand why Harries got upset
ОтветитьThis guy is a selfish idiot who had no regard for others having to risk thier lives to save him. Those signs are there for a reason.
ОтветитьGood job Harries was there, that idiot who ignored the signs should 'very been fined. And the thing that gets me is his wife was there and didn't seem to care about the lifegaurd risking his life.or even have the decency to apologise.
ОтветитьThanks to this show, I know if I ever visit another country with a different primary language, I need to study "emergency services" words so I can understand any lifeguards, paramedics, etc who I run into.
ОтветитьIt's obviously an extremely frustrating situation for those lifeguards. I think these tourists just don't appreciate the dangers and so don't take the warning signs and verbal warnings seriously. On the other hand when they are panicking and nearly drowned it's probably more excusable to make a mistake as the adrenaline is pumping and their brain can't process information at a higher level, especially when English isn't their first language.
ОтветитьThe reactions to being rescued are usually an involuntary response caused by the adrenaline rush.
Thank you Bondi lifeguards and lifeguards everywhere for keeping people safe(whether they like it or not 😉) 💜
The little kid who wants to be a lifeguard is melting my heart. So adorable & sweet
ОтветитьFor more clips and I can get a little bit of the video
ОтветитьAnd this is why if you are going to visit another country, learn at least a basic understanding of the language.
ОтветитьAlways foreigners - if these lifeguards weren't there, the Bondi beaches would be strewn with drowned tourists...
ОтветитьI am applying for a job in Australia and I have been a lifeguard for many years and I would like to start working at Bondi, but I need an invitation from you.
Ответитьmario's so sweet with the "thank you lovely" :')
ОтветитьIgnorant or deliberate?
Unless there are deterring consequences to the willful breaking of rules (and laws) in a rules-based society, expect this behavior to continue and put lives at unnecessary risk of harm. A verbal scolding is not a deterring consequence - a sign stating swim at your own risk, a fine, or immediate expulsion from the beach is.
Is it a language barrier or do some people think this is a freakin joke or something? I’ve noticed that Asian people seem to need to save face and joke around about it. Off the beach with ya. They are going to cost a lifeguard their life.
ОтветитьEveryone really grows up quickly on this job, but some more chaotic than others. Mario is one of the chaotic starters, as he was rather arrogant or cocky in attitude. But he learned fast that admitting you cannot do something is far better than pretending and maybe have a bad thing happen due to that. That attitude only killed a battery, thankfully! Jethro also grew up brilliantly on the job.
ОтветитьMUCH RESPECT TO YA! I absolutely couldn’t deal with non English speaking foreign tourists like this.
ОтветитьThey don’t seem too concerned by the fact that they could’ve ended up attending a funeral and how that would’ve affected the lifeguard team as well.
ОтветитьNo accounting for selfish people showing lack of intelligence!
ОтветитьRisking your own life for others! Love them en give them some credits❤
ОтветитьLife guarding is the only job where its sometimes worse to throw more bodies at the issue 🙃
ОтветитьSo cool
ОтветитьGood luck on becoming a lifeguard Azza!
ОтветитьDon't blame him for losing it on those idiots. He was a lot nicer than I would have been
ОтветитьOK, dumb question from 🇨🇦 but what is a rip and why is it so dangerous?
ОтветитьSo awesome for Mario to meet and take time to visit with his young fan.
ОтветитьI irony of the Korean idiot with ‘water instinct’ on his shirt.
ОтветитьI love how the Bondi Crew is so loving!
Tysm for saving these wonderful people❤
I was caught in a rip at age 8. I had never heard of such a thing before that. For some reason, I automatically started swimming sideways and not towards shore. I was then out of the rip. Apparently, life guards were watching me, but as I got out of it myself, they didn't need to come and rescue me. I wasn't scared, so I didn't panic. I still wonder to this day why I swam sideways
ОтветитьNa that push 💀
ОтветитьI don't blame Harries for losing it in the first clip. That guy's a complete idiot, those signs are there for a reason. Love these clips, please keep them coming:)
ОтветитьSad.....so much poverty, they can't even afford a life jacket when going to the ocean.🤷♂
ОтветитьPlay certain games win certain prizes.
ОтветитьYou all have WAY MORE patients then I do! ❤
ОтветитьFirst guy….She said ok, ok. She was annoyed with the life guard. 🤦🏻♀️
ОтветитьThe first tourists are so incredibly lucky their friend didn’t drown and while Harries is talking to them that lady just saying “ok ok ok” like no not ok. You guys are disregarding obvious signs. It’s so frustrating because the lifeguards are also being put at risk.
ОтветитьAs always the lifeguards are saving people from their imbecilic choices, which endangers the lifeguards lives as well. Bravo gentlemen 👏 you’re incredible ❤
ОтветитьThey have my utmost respect and admiration. Their families must worry every day when they leave for work
ОтветитьSinglets, Harries, Chappo, Hoppo, Jethro - ALL of them - I am in love.
ОтветитьIs it crowded in July?
ОтветитьIm a big fan of Mario too❤
ОтветитьMario's rescue at the end is so wholesome. He needed that.
ОтветитьNew rule!! If you have just been rescued and go BACK OUT, you don't get saved again. It's better for our gene pool.
ОтветитьWhy would you ignore the signs?🤔
ОтветитьMe encanto el niño y logro ver a su ídolo salvavidas, el problema de la comunicación cuando hay muchos turistas y los jóvenes coreanos no lograban comprender que había otras dos vidas más por salvar, pero todo termino bien.
