So you have to purge the faction to justify as fascist without a certain world tension.

Imagine being an average American in this cursed timeline. The year is 1945. Your nation has been living under the boot of the Japanese Empire for the last seven years. America is free once again. You get up, prepare a pot of coffee, and head out to the driveway to pick up the morning paper, where you discover that for absolutely no reason whatsoever the Emperor of Japan has declared war on the United States for a second time in the last decade, just as inexplicably as the first war and later release of your nation, and immediately scrambled his air force to unleash the power of the sun on San Francisco. Years later, when asked by a journalist from the BBC why he chose to completely eliminate that city, the Emperor replies laconically, "Too much gay."

Finding this now, but imagine... "You just conquered us, and now you're releasing us... Why?" "Weapons testing."

I tried this strat on my first attempt at Sunrise Invasion, in the current patch you cannot get military access from the Germans, I tried everything, maxxed relations, used a spy on diplomatic pressure, nothing worked. Second strat I tried was just a straight up invasion of the US, it landed but they convoy raided me to death very quickly and even building up good quality naval bombers and convoy escorting wasn't enough because you cannot get enough fuel and even with 300+ naval bombers you kill about one single sub per month and the US starts with around 70. This just isn't a fun achievement in the current version of the game.

For anyone wondering, this has been patched. Germany will not allow you into the Axis because you are too far away.

Any tips circa BBA, given that distance requirements make it impossible for Japan to join Axis early game? I can't even get military access from them using diplomatic pressure. I tried declaring on Republican Spain to get access from Nationalist Spain but that takes quite a while and I would really like to invade the US as early as possible.

Don't believe this works anymore.
It doesn't let me use German ports for naval invasion after getting docking rights. Furthermore it says I can't join Axis due to distance being like -300

this is a lot easier now when i know you can puppet the european nations in order to not f up the sunrise invasion achievement :)

Cheers Bitt3rSteel, this worked like a breeze even with NSB. My run went better(?) than yours since I timed my betrayal of Germany perfectly, and then had little trouble finishing off the Soviets whilst waiting for my tech to finish up, 1946+ lag tho...

So a heads up on this guide back a few patches ago Paradox changed the how you get Sunrise Invasion, SO you can't now take a Europe nation before Mexico. because of this way.

I tried this method without Ironman Mode, it does work well, but I think it would be better if you let your navy in the Caribbean Sea, preventing any naval invasion from happening. You could just leave several destroyers around Home Island to protect the convoy. Usually, the AI only sends around 4-6 subs to do the raiding, not much of a concern imo.

Question: until which date/ year/ point in focus tree are the us weak? I want to take them as portugal brasil by declaring on venezuela

I just watched this. I'm from Alabama and I have never heard a foreigner pronounce Mobile the way we do here. Well done. I'm not sure if anyone told you it is pronounced Mo-beel, but I was quite surprised considering most ppl would say Mo-bile or Mo-bil.

Great video! Just a tip for those continuing the play-through after getting the achievements: Do NOT puppet the Netherlands - Simply annex them.

If you have left the Axis and created the GEACPS and you have puppeted the Netherlands, Germany will justify and then declare with “Around Maginot”. By annexing, they cannot justify on you when you’re not ready to fight the Axis (when you’re dealing with China).

Can I just justify on Mexico without the us bc they’re gurenteed

Worked like a charm, small hint if you're going for a longer campaign, use the troops your puppets give you to attack canada while invading the UK/France so they get included in the peace deal. They're also good enough to invade Australia/New Zealand by themselves, just naval invade from indonesia to their victory points. Also by delaying the war on china they didn't make the chinese united front making invading china super easy

Is it still possible to naval invade from allied ports without calling them into the war?

So I kinda just realized that instead of going for the Dutch first you could go for the British and then puppet them, then only have to worry about France by themselves when attacking main land Europe.

So what I did was attack the British by justifying on Malaya, then do a naval invasion from the Caribbean islands through a war goal on Mexico. Take out the US and Mexico and swoop back to Europe and naval invade France and get two of the achievements.
