I'm loving this book and how is message is being told.
I would like to known if anyone has advice or recommendations for how to deal with someone elses not doing their task( at work) and it directly affecting my ablity to do mine? I feel that I sometimes do others tasks at work, causing me to intervene or do/ask about tasks that are not mine.
Im not trying to put blame on anyone and I have been working on separating tasks, but sometimes it comes down to someone just not doing their task because they can be bothered too.

Getting near the end of the book, I feel very mixed about the whole thing. To a point, most things the philosopher says are just re-establishments of my own beliefs and what I already know, but then he says some things that just are just so out there and I'm not even sure you can call it a "reach". Like others said, it's definitely a mixed bag. Definitely have to listen to it twice to get a full picture.

edit: just finished 11/27/23, 9/10 book, I think at parts the philosopher lost me, but I feel more confident and happy about life knowing the truths he gave. Me personall,y im a 20 year old shut in so this book was just perfect for me, literally explained my whole scenario in the beginning. But I am in college, I work and study, pursuing my goals, etc, but I put on a face outside and am a people pleaser outside of the house. I want to become a better person, not just for myself, but for others around me, especially my parents as I tend not to treat them well even thought they treat me well. But don't get me wrong, as the book states, I won't live other's lives, instead, I wish to be apart of the "larger community".

The harsh truth of the shut-in being manipulative in the book was literally me and I did not realize it. I feel very optimistic about the now because of this book. My favorite bit was "As long as you can dance in the now, you'll get somewhere", such truer words have never been spoken... Also, I definitely related to the whole competition thing and being unable to be happy for others or be happy myself because its always a "winners vs losers" mentality that I grew up with. The philosopher's method of leaving the realm of competition and the world of losing vs winning is something I aim to practice in my life. Im tired of going on my phone and seeing some 17 year old millionaire popstar and being jealous of them, or comparing myself to friends and family saying "oh he has this" or "she's doing much better than me"... it's not healthy.

This is interesting and has a lot of truth to it. But it's being presented 1 dimensionally. Situations are clearly a combination of BOTH eteological and teleological factors. The control you have teleologically varies in degree, and that degree is determined eteologically.

i really don't agree with the trauma part
of course your future is not set in stone because of what has happened to you
but i have worked through a lot of my own trauma and that has definitely given me much more ability to be confident and courageous than simply denying it. i've been on the denial path my whole life and i was miserable until i took responsibility to solve my past.
obviously healing looks very differently for everyone. but simply turning to philosophical insights for me definitely wasn't enough.
and therapy wasn't enough for me either i really had to dig up memories and experience the grief and all the things i had suppressed. once i've released all of that i've been a completely different person ever since. my head is actually pretty silent and calm now.

but yeah everyone needs to find their own path for growth.
if someone had told me my about my healing experiences i would have thought they're crazy.

Interesting that the seeds of our modern discontent, our social victim gradations, were planted nearly 100 years ago. Why fix yourself if you can just blame another for your misery? Freudianism in action.
We have been poisoned.

I'm only 45 minutes into this book it's so full of garbage and even some self contradictions. The "youth" light as well have been named the "strawman."
Anyone who's even heard of Pavlov should immediately recognize the fallibility of theology.
The authors occasionally come close to the truth with the idea of goals which would better be expressed as values. But anyone with a lick of sense should understand that there's never one goal or value but rather the tension of many that influence our beliefs, perspective, perception and therefore behaviors.

There are two sides to this book if you read it carefully. Once you finish this book you have to actually put all the pieces together and see that how our world is a full circle and how you can get out of the deadlock ! Took me a while to understand but helped me a ton but i really ended up not liking the author😂

The problem with not being attached to the I, or in other words not being self centered is, you have to rely on others constantly or you'll become lonely. I have experienced this when I was much younger and I still see it in others. That is those who shift from being concerned with themselves, and start becoming concerned for others will always need other people around. I do admit I am self centered however, I can be by myself for a long period of time and not feel lonely. I would like the best of both worlds to be honest. I feel like I am stuck in between two ways of seeing the world.

since the author wanted to go there…kids do not self harm as revenge on their parents! it’s to externalize internal pain as a release. the last thing on their mind is revenge against their parents. it’s an unhealthy coping mechanism having to do with trying to emotionally regulate. this book is cool so far besides little pretentious bits like this. i wonder how the author grew up. lol.

'Billy' Eduard Albert Meier (BEAM) - Psychology in the OM book
In Kanon 49 of the OM book. Semjase speak about spiritual development.

84. Life is a spiritual teaching for the spirit.

85. The correct behavior of the family, and the administration of the countries and society, forms a part of the universal determination which has equipped the totality of the being with severe impartial laws.

86. The human lives because the Creation exists, and his life must be as balanced and perfect as the Creation itself is balanced and perfect.

87. The human lives in Creation’s BEING. It breathes and is suspended in him.

88. The lack of the spiritual, because of its value to life, or the requirement of a practical life philosophy and life psychology of the current time, is manifoldly responsible for the crisis in the life of people, and in their concerns.

89. Already for a long time the human, abused with the name “modern”, has undertaken great striving to find peace and freedom, yet, but until now, all his efforts have fruitlessly blown away and escaped.

90. Lacking real knowledge and the truth about a healthy reasonable lifestyle, which would give him inner, and real, balance and tranquility, he has devoted himself to abnormal ideologies and corrupting, dangerous and damaging religious philosophies that lead him into yet greater poverty of consciousness, and distance him from actual life.

91. The natural human understanding indeed defends itself against the pressing into the square of required truth of the cycle of unsuitable, unreal religious dogmas, that quite especially would be brought to flourishing existence through the new time of the Aquarius era, by new religious fanatics and deceivers, yet, at the present time, however, the religious delusion is still too strongly spread to be able to construct, in great measure, a useful defense.

92. The erroneous religious philosophies, with their colossal confusions and delusional claims, degrade the inner power in the human, which the spirit of the human would hold upright and which could help him, in his striving, to surpass himself, to bring to bloom, and make possible for him to obtain, inner growth and peace, which stand in the correct proportions with the external acquisitions and conditions.

93. As an answer to a long perceived need, here and there, Earth-humans, who have wrongly been labeled as leading thinkers, have undertaken personal, but dangerously unreal, strivings to take the alleged best out of the religions and bring them into a unity with modern thinking in order to work out a new philosophy of life and new psychology of life for today’s humanity.

94. Yet these alleged, and unreal, thinkers do not notice that they thereby, once again, increase the religious delusion, out of ignorance of the fact that they themselves are very badly imprisoned in unreal religions, and, subsequently, may only think corresponding to them, and behave in unreal ways: unreal, delusional, delusionally-believing, murderous and poor in consciousness.

95. Out of closely related grounds their success is repeatedly equal to nothing.

96. Yet the human of the new time, the human of the Aquarius era, now stands opposite an easily solvable problem, because if he now lays the foundation stone of the truth, then he obtains a completely new structure of philosophical and psychological values for a happy, free and peaceful spiritual life in the future.

97. A free spiritual life, which is based on everything that describes the best in the cultural and spiritual inheritance of the Earth: the spiritual truth.

98. If the Earth human now finally recognises and acknowledges this truth, makes himself fully free from all of the religions and their delusional imaginations and finally directs himself after the spiritual and creational laws, than he has been victorious.

99. Only the truth is serviceable and brings the human progress; but religion is unserviceable to the human and throws him back into the deepest darkness.

It seems to me that this book largely endorses my own philosophy. You must like yourself, so become what you like and respect, and you will like yourself. Yes, there will be many people who don’t like you so much because you refuse to “play the game” , be manipulated, fulfil their expectations of you. Don’t waste energy, the energy and time of your life, in resentment of them. It’s very important that you come to a place where you REALLY don’t care, so that none of your energy is wasted in negatively. This is a great book and I’m going to buy myself a copy to keep. Many thanks.

My brother and sister and I were heavily abused. My mother upheld the philosophy "get over it" however she complained a lot and seemed quite unhappy in her life...paradoxically...i have held too tightly to the concept of coming from abuse and facing feeling, feeling too much in fact...complain a lot and live generally unhappily. So is it possible that there is a middle ground in all this. That perhaps as a young person one needs to get through exploring like Freud then around 30 flip and train in letting go?
