Should your OB be your fertility doctor or should you reach out to a specialist for fertility?

Natalie I ovulate on day 25 and have regular cycles. No luck so far with a baby. Is this an issue to have 35 day cycles and “ovulating late” ? Should I seek a fertility doctor? Love your channel!

Thank you for this! Getting a second opinion with another RE and I was torn because I was "comfortable" where I was, but not getting anywhere and communication is just awful. Thank you for the reassurance that it's okay to switch and start over.

Great questions!!! Will definitely keep those in mind for my first appointment at the fertility clinic! Especially the labs/results communication! My current doctor (obgyn) has her nurse call me with the results and it’s super annoying because most of the times is a bunch of back and forth with questions and answers.... it would be much easier and faster if the doctor just called me and gave me all my answered right away.

Thank you so much! I this is very helpful I am going back today for my second consultation for my second cycle. My first cycle the doctor said I had one egg with a mini cycle she said that it was up to me on whether or not I chose to move forward I honestly didn’t know if just having one would be good enough and that’s the way that I felt that I only need one egg to get pregnant so maybe that was gods way of giving me what I needed no I guess we get this forward with it she agreed and send it that would be fine so I move forward with the process. The egg had already missed church when she went to retrieve it and then she said she saw another small ball at all but was unable to get anything out from aspiration. It was a very emotional day for me and I really don’t know if she let me in the right direction. I feel like she probably should have persuaded me since she was a doctor and has the best medical opinion that one egg can’t work but it would be better and have a higher success rate if we chose to and due to a more higher. She did say that most couples would wait to get the most for their money but ultimately she said the decision was up to me. Maybe it was just my fault I was excited and I wanted to do it and have my pregnancy test on Christmas Eve tomorrow! So I kind of jumped the gun but we have our consultation set up our next plan is going to be for a full cycle so I can control to get as many eggs as possible which I hope is the right man for me, I have a list of questions after watching your videoWhat I’m going to ask her yeah just wanted to say thank you I really really love your videos they’ve been so educational I feel like I’m going to be prepared this time going in and I have a lot of questions to ask just hope I don’t take up too much of her time LOL

Thanks for doing this! I didn't realize it until you mentioned it but I've felt "stuck" with our fertility doctor. We had less than an hour telemedicine visit with him and he basically told us our only option is IVF because of my husband's semen analysis. I just felt very disheartened by the whole visit, and we've basically put all treatment on the back burner since February.
