Im trying to play as masillia on hard, gotta say stats suck, and it made me get more involved in politics cause automatically they have a negative trait (thirst for power).

If you can't save it.... How do you return to the game if you're busy?

I always play bactria own half the left side of the world in 150 turns or so

The funny thing is I do this exact same thing in shogun 2 with the chosokabe and just a mix of Ashigaru archers and whatever the basic polearm is.

The counter to this is to just steam roll rome early before their economy builds. They wont have great auxiliary units to start. Play carthage and use the anti historical cheese of just loading some elephants and cav on some readily available boats in 5 turns youve taken southern italy, and ruined friendships along the way.

Idk how people have fun playing total war like this.... Never will

The faction is not OP. This video is basically about "exploiting" RIIs broken auto resolve system. On top of that, making it even easier to exploit by choosing a faction bonus that makes it cheaper to do so. What a waste of time of a playthrough and of a video. Thank god I had a presence of mind to fast forward through 95% of it. Who in the right mind plays a game that is known for and based around the battles, and then proceeds to completely skip them, by auto resolving almost all of the best parts of the game?? Outside of the battles there's like nothing else worthy of playing this game for.

the one thing i hate about rome 2 is that your generals die after like 10 turns it seems like. 2 1/2 years, and generals die. That is broken in itself. In Thrones of Britannia for instance, your generals live to their 60's, like 100 turns. i dont think ive ever maxed out a general in Rome 2

hey man if you havent heard of it there is an amazing mod for rome 2 called divide et impera that adds a lot of depth into the game including supply lines and army reforms like the roman marian reform. it does make the game harder but it adds hundreds of new units and ive sunk another 1000 hours into rome 2 thanks to it.

Ya should try divide et impera and ya will see quite some nice results

I believe the spiffing brit did this a couple of years ago. he managed to reduce one unit to 2 gold per turn.
