She loved her dad so much. They saved him in the end and that’s all she wanted.
ОтветитьFml i cry toooooooo lol
Ответитьwonderful scene
ОтветитьI cry so much listening this song... Lost dreams? Lost childish innocence? To feel a pure world that I never seen in this life? I don't really know... God bless artists and Art.
ОтветитьThe one time shes happy in thevwhole movie
ОтветитьSo That's when they Make Mary Poppins in Saving Mr. Banks (which is a Biopic of Walt Disney and P.L. Travers).
ОтветитьNot gonna lie I grew up watching Mary Poppins and watching this very my made me cry happy tears like a bitch
Ответитьi love the movie i give it 100/100
ОтветитьI never got to watch this until i basically had nothing to watch and im disappointed in myself that i didnt watch this sooner.
ОтветитьFor me this is the scene where the magic that she is sharing is shared back with her and it’s fantastic.
ОтветитьHistorycly not acurate, she hated the fact that Mrs Banks choose a kite over woman rights, but this scene is just wonderfull. Ofcourse Thompson is perfect, but Whitford's tired body language when his character seems not know how he can convice her now she doesn't react really is quite good. And then.. the hand. A little bit to fast meaby, but I love it.
ОтветитьThis film gets me every time 😢😢😢😢
ОтветитьCan’t believe PL Travers and Miss Trunchbull from the new Matilda are both played by Emma Thompson. They don’t look anything the same, they both look completely different and have completely different personalities.
ОтветитьGreat Film
ОтветитьI love this film and this scene, so tender!
ОтветитьI did not think this movie was going to be any good and who wanted to see a movie about the making of Mary Poppins. Boy was I surprised how great it was, all the performances were great and the interactions between Thompson and Giamatti were fantastic.
ОтветитьOur Mother named our sister Glynis after Glynis Johns in Mary Poppins. We love this movie forever and know every song 🤍🤍🤍😊
ОтветитьMarry poppins ... the best Disney movie ever for me .
ОтветитьSo many mullions of people died just so their kids can sing
ОтветитьI hate musicals but this song gets me
ОтветитьA truly beautifully crafted film, and oh yes I shed a few tears…well maybe quite a few !
ОтветитьI watched this film once and found it so difficult to watch that it took me a long time to watch it again. The 2nd time around I was able to appreciate it much more. I felt so bad for her childhood and for her father and his addiction. Such a hard life for her and her parents. Him having to do a job he hated and the mother for having to try to cope with him and the children. Harder still to watch him deteriorate and watch him slowly dying, know what a kind a gentle man he was. I really do hope she got over her trauma.
ОтветитьI think about this scene since I saw it in theaters in 2013
ОтветитьIt means nothing to me really i think but it has me a lump in my throat every time
ОтветитьThis movie was so important, just to confirm that Mary Poppins was there to save Mr Banks, not the children.
ОтветитьWe all thought she handed him her story. She handed him her broken heart, and he fixed it and he knew he was going to fix many more hearts as well. Walt was on another level.
ОтветитьGreat scene
ОтветитьI love this movie, and this is, by far, my favorite sequence in it.
ОтветитьRIP Richard Sherman!
ОтветитьI love this song maybe my favorite song Disney had the privilege of calling its own and that’s all thanks to Richard Sherman
ОтветитьRIP Sherman Brothers 🥺
Ответитьso and so touching to me...

In loving memory of Richard Sherman 🙏🏾💙
ОтветитьIt’s so amazing how they came up with the songs for “Mary Poppins “.😊
ОтветитьRip Richard Sherman
Ответитьmanifesting 🌈 💥
ОтветитьTotally fabricated, the real P. L. would be quaking watching this...
... but oh how I love this scene 🥰 Quasi-fiction ftw!!!
This movie is so perfect ❤
ОтветитьEs de las mejores escenas, P.L. Travers sonríe y acepta el cambio del final en pro del señor Banks.
ОтветитьWho knew Jason Schwartzman can play the piano very well?
ОтветитьWhat magic moment is when music connects your past and brings memories hidden around plenty of happiness to the present? Now, I understand why music is the most effective therapy for people that had Alzheimer's condition.
ОтветитьMelanie, the red robin lady 🍔
ОтветитьThis scene is the practically perfect (no pun intended) use of Hope spot. The one moment where there is briefly light at the end of the tunnel. And things take a dramatic turn afterwards. I can’t believe it took me a while to sit down and watch Saving Mr Banks. I initially wasn’t open to seeing a dark backstory in the making of the masterpiece Mary Poppins would become!
ОтветитьThis song made PL Travers portrayed by Emma Thompson so happy and Mary Poppins would’ve also been great released in 1961 as it would have really been in 1964.
ОтветитьWhen ppl ask me what’s a good trilogy - I say “Mary Poppins”, “Saving Mr. Banks”, “Mary Poppins Returns”. Even though it technically isn’t a trilogy 😂
ОтветитьTom Hanks did such a great job portraying Walt. I wish Disney would make another movie with him playing Walt and it be about the story of what all he did to get Disneyland built.
ОтветитьUnfortunately, this is an eventual discrepancy.
Mrs Travers actually was won over with Feed the Birds, but later sources claimed that she did indeed enjoy this musical number.
