Agar koi Chapri gf se jagra karke truck ke nisse agaya tho..Aur driver naya law ka daar se aur bhag ne ka kosis karega..Agar driver hit karke nahi bhaga tho chutiya public marega.. Isliye agar driver gari rok ke madat karta hai tho phele investigation hona sahiye uske baad fine lagwa sakte hai .Agar direct murder involve hai tho sida jail. Kabi kabi driver ka galti nhi hota hai..

I don't find anything wrong with this law... this law should be implemented. If the govt. withdraws every law because of protest, then none of the laws will be executed

The proposed law by the government is exactly what HIT AND RUN VICTIMS NEED. Sounds very fair:

"The new law provides for a jail time of up to 10 years and/or a fine of ₹7 lakh for serious road accidents due to negligent driving and where drivers run away without informing the police"

So it's not about 'galti ya na galti'..

Such misinformed opinions and strife have been the bane of this government and has hindered Indias progression, just like the farmers protests! (and I'm speaking from the west)

What does everyone else think about this law?? I hear truckers concerned about not being able to pay fines, don't they have insurance, or work in companies that provide legal aid?

I feel the government need to run education campaigns months in advance, to highlight the benefits of laws they're about to roll out people.

The day civilians start following laws that allow justice to victims, laws that empower enforcement, and the day people take personal responsibility for thier actions, then India will become civilised like the west. And I wish all of this happened 25 years ago.. I can only hope and pray 🙏🏽

Only bjp can pass half assed laws. How is it hit and run if the fault was not of the truck driver ? Obviously to save one's life that truck driver will flee the scene as the onlookers might beat him to death. What about those scenarios ? Bjp is really stupid.

Cameras should be made mandatory for all vehicles. Front, back, and (side cameras for long vehicles) for fair investigation in case of an accident.

Great law. Put dash cams in trucks. Most truck drivers in India drink and drive. High time someone some takes strict action against truck drivers.

The problem isn't reporting even if it's hit unintentionally. The severity of mob trashing is done, I'll pray you never come across this but as my closed ones have experienced it, the thrashing can kill you, even if it isn't your fault. Think you've stopped after unintentional accident with a couple on bike, when you see a group of people running towards you with anger, pure trauma, this law isn't justified.

Actually the Problem is of main Indian states like UP-Mahrashtra-DEHLI-BENGAL ETC where drivers do not follow any moral just follow hit & run -don't follow traffic rules,
On the other hand we have states like North eastern states Kashmir etc where a small incident on road caught whole people's attention & people rush to help - which I have seen in these places especially in Kashmir.
But without understanding diversity what thing is needed to which place govt is trying to follow majority rules.
I have seen in some northeast states people are waiting in traffic jams in single straight line while in fast cities it sucks.
Majority never solves we have vast diversity

The issue is if you stop after accident to call police or hospital, there will be some mob gathers and beat you. No case against mobs thats why people run away.

Hit and run law enforces people trying to run away after hitting someone who could be most probably injured or die due to his injuries… it is enforced on EVERY VEHICLE not only trucks …. It does not require you to to stop if you think mob linching can happen to you but YOU HAVE TO INFORM THE AUTHORITIES OF THE INCIDENT you can’t just hit and run away without telling anyone or stopping that is intent to murder … are the bus drivers so illiterate to understand this much ?? And they are putting more lives at risk after stopping fuel supply disrupting the general public for no reason as government vehicles will get reserved fuel for themselves public will not and this is bad at the time of emergency services 🚨 sometimes you have to take the patient in your own vehicle to get to the hospital fast …. To summarise this action taken by the transport services are a shameful act

Also my assumption is that the strike is a well planned action by the government in secrecy to enforce public to buy more electric vehicles which is even worse

Highways are made well now in India. But only little attention is given for further works like good sidewalks, pedestrian signals and strict rules. Also good highways lack controlling of stray cattle. The work of good transportation net work just ends with construction of good highways only in , India. The rest of all peripheral work is ignored. So making super highways only will not serve any purpose.

I dnt see any problem with the bill at all , why these truck drivers are going mad, seriously no driver like 99.9% drivers dnt do road accident deliberately so if anything occurred on road simple call police of near by hospitals, you might have to pay fine, that's minimal precautions, now i dnt understand that why these only truck drivers are soo mad and chaotic about the bill , so can we accept that these truck drivers are sooo ruthless and furious whenever they run the truck on road, or the deliberately do road accidents. There is nothing wrong with the bill at all, these opposition parties are so desparate that they can do anything, then why not they bribes some drivers and make a road rage over gvt for public road safety bill😑😑

First thing govt should do is implement strict examination while giving driving licenses. So that all must learn traffic rules and all driver's licence should be cancelled if found drink and drive case

All the so called new laws 😮are really not new laws... They copied word to word from the existing ones and changed the name of the Acts/laws, re-numbered the sections. Hardly 10 new sections have been introduced 😢😂... And those as well half baked 😭... The new sections could easily brought in through amendment in existing laws 😮

Roads are not wide enough in India. People not staying in lane. All highways need to be with 6 lane. Right lane for passing only. Middle lane for trucks. Left lane for two wheeelees or seperate service road for two wheelers/ rickshaw only. No street vendors and two wheelers should park on roads on either side in city. New buidings need to have multistory parking to reduce parking problems. Vehicles and street food lari need to be towed for wider road.
