When I was in HS there was a teacher who was arrested for sexual harassment. He was a wood shop teacher. I don’t know the details and the only reason why I know that much is because my mom worked at the school and she later told me.

I'm sorry but the girl is downright stupid. She's 14 already. Most other countries they are mothers by that age and grown up. Only USA makes them like girls. Sorry once you have your period you should be well educated by your parents or caretakers and if you don't know that then you should have some common sense by then. Don't sugar coat this. So that being said the nasty molester teacher should be arrested and also the girl should be looked down on for what she knowingly agreed to. Parents sued for money. The true story started in 1986 when the girl was 14 years old and it never fails to amaze me the stupidity of american parenting even in fictitious stories, the child can do as she wants, the parents give the child her space where the parents has to have permission to enter her room, the child always sneaks out at night, the parents allow the child to hang out with or go camping with adults, the parents award bad behaviour with cars even when the child is under age, the parents never know where the child is late at night, the parents allow the child to date or assume they date when they are too young to do so, the parents think when something is wrong with the child she's just being a teen. The parents are friends with the child instead of being parents, The parents allow the child have a private phone line to her room. The parents never supervise or instruct the child, never warn the child about dangers, never ask about what happened at school and who her friends are, the parents have no control over the child and when something awful happens the parents are always surprised that they didn't know.

That man was truly sick in the head.

Something similar happened at my HS. A student accused a coach/teacher of inappropriate behavior. But, because allegations happen at the end of the year we thought it was a prank that went too far. The teacher was fired but next year another allegation happened with a assistant coach/teacher. He wasn’t fired but I think he quit the next year because everyone was staring at him.

I'm glad these days people take these issues more seriously.
