Unreal Live Link for Maya – Initial Setup

is the plugin blocked somehow? I can't download it on my home machine or work machine, while logged into work account

Maya is crashing after installing the plugin

I cant see the livelink option in maya 2022.3 even after turning on the plugin.

IS THERE NO TUTORIAL WHERE WE BEGIN FROM AN EMPTY SCENE AND SEND THINGS FROM MAYA TO UNREAL NOT ALL THESE ALREADY MADE SCENES, THEY ARE NOT HELPING AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is wonderful thank you so much! I was wondering how to get File > Live Link to show up in Maya? I recently updated to Maya 2022.2 and Unreal 5 Preview

OMG, a tutorial with a system that's already setup is not a tutorial. I can't even find the maya plugins because they're apparently somewhere in my Unreal installation but I don't know what they're called.

I can not seem to get this to link up with Maya 2023.2 and unreal 5.0.3. Live link is in a slightly different location and it can not seem to pick up the maya connection and vice versa. Any ideas?

We are trying to install Maya LiveLink Plugin v2 for Unreal Engine v5.1. While installation we are getting error popup mentioning that “Installation not found - No Unreal Engine installation found. Please install Unreal Engine first”. However we have properly installed UE 5.1 in our system & its working fine.

When try to do the live link connectivity between Maya & UE5, the connection is not establishing & we are not able to see the any link value in “Message Bus Source” after opening the Live link from UE 5.1

Wondering will there be future updates to let maya and ue to talk both ways instead of only maya to ue? So if we move any cameras in UE we can see it being updated in Maya live.

Maya Learning Channel is the worst place for any beginner. Absolutely useless tutorials, extremely confusing and misleading information that only demotivates to learn at all + Autodesk have no money for good mic ? Why it sounds like tutorial from 1996? And after all Live Link literally won`t work. If you really looking for useful information - go search a regular channels about Maya/UE on YT.

I belive this dosent work anymore with Unreal 5.3
