Turkey is allied with Russia despite being in NATO. And there is a Turkish law that makes it illegal to bring warships in or out of the black sea while there is a war in the region. This is why no US warships have been able to enter the black sea since Russia invaded Ukraine 2 years ago.

By the way, politicians may talk based on emotions, but the final decision is not based on emotions. No matter how much you want to save Ukraine, no real action be done so long as it keeps losing. Sure guns and supplies will be sent and even volunteers will be sent. But real support via full scale army support will only come if Ukraine manages to stop the Russia advance completely. The allies in WW2 did the same thing. They refused to send any real soldiers while the Soviets were losing fearing those troops would just die in vain and make Germany target them next because the tried helping the Soviets. Its only after the Soviets completely stopped the German advance and some say even that no support was sent before the Soviets started their counter attack. Ukraine tried showing it could beat the Russians with Kursk, but not only was the Ukrainian Kursk invasions stopped in less then a week, the Russians also took a huge part of Ukraine too while this Ukrainian counter attack was happening.

I know you said not to criticize but i must correct you on Russia: Its declined happened over 30 years ago. It recovered fully 10 years ago. Russia is now far stronger then it was in the USSR days, it has proven it with the Ukraine war. Despite the massive NATO support that far surpasses Russia's budget, Ukraine is still losing and unlike everyone's predictions, the first 3rd party country to join the war did not come to help Ukraine, it was North Korea who sent 12 thousands soldiers to help Russia. Meanile despite promising to send troops two years ago, NATO still hasn't sent anything and some of its memvers > Germany are on the verge of economic collapse due to economic war with Russia. The USSR was weaker then Modern Russia because it failed to feed itself. Russia has no such problem today.
