Coming to Australia to study when you finish your studies and you are over 35 years of age No more working visa. That’s means returning back to your home country after your studies . That’s the new policy as of 2024. If you are doing masters by research or phd . They have given only 2 years for working. Austria now needs young people. Secondly they are trying to reduce on the immigration that means reducing on the number of people coming to Australia because of housing crisis This has affected the international students. Thirdly getting a student visa has become harder because they discovered that people use forged documents and bank statements especially people from Africa and India. Thirdly they also discovered that people use student visa as a gateway to come and work and to live in Australia.

I'm really impressed by the way Australia integrates students. In America, there's not much support. I remember relying on my sister and her fellow university friends to help me find my way around. Its also very hard to find a job in America after graduating from these schools since your employer has to sponsor you for a work permit or H1B visa. So most people just end up living here illegally after college or they get married 😢

Going to study in Australia these days is easier said than done.....sounds too good but the visa is another story with rejection rates so high.

Hi Lynn, what a wonderful and informative episode! I'm watching from South Africa. I wish I could apply for my younger daughter to get the 20% bursary, however, she is still in her Grade 10. My daughter really wishes to enroll from an Australian Uni. in 2027. Could you please find out for me from Beth Mahasi if we have Torrens University Agents in South Africa. And keep re-applying..

And let the students know that they are there to study. And parents keep talking to them and avoid asking for money.
