The glory days of cheap Las Vegas dining are over. First, let's relive some of the classic Vegas food deals like 99-cent buffets, shrimp cocktails, and breakfast. Resorts were happy to take losses in their restaurants if it meant patrons stayed in their casinos.

This began to shift at the turn of the century as Las Vegas evolved into a foodie destination and began offering luxury dining experiences to visitors and cutting back on their loss leaders (like buffets).

Today, food in Vegas has far outpriced inflation, and as buffets have shuttered, food courts, and high-margin dining experiences have taken over.

If you know where to look, there are still a few good deals you can find that are "90s-esq."
