There was a recent US news story about one of the boys that was rescued, who could speak English with the man who finally found them (who spoke English), and he just graduated from some school/college (can't remember which one) who was given a scholarship in the US. Some representative of the school was so impressed by him in the news that they offered a scholarship for him to come to the US. Cool story. Amazing young man. I think it's really nice that they created such a great memorial to the rescue. Thanks so much for sharing that.

Really enjoy your videos paddy especially the hanoi etc as we are visiting later on in year but the one thing I think while your travelling on your bike what happens if you break down in the middle of nowhere how do you go about that situation I always wonder. Top man great content.

That gas pump boogy was crazy funny!!

We moved from Bangkok to 10 Rai of land just north of Chiang Rai city. Boy, am I glad we did! Yes, we do have to deal with weeks of burning fields, but the burning is somewhat controlled. The winters are dry and wonderfully cool! Perfect motorcycle riding weather!

I think the colour of the water is related to the sediments, minerals and even algae. Google says Blue and Green are not absorbed by water so we see these colours reflected. The wavelength of these colours mixed with the sediments etc cause differences in the colour of the water. Amazing rescue efforts to save those boys. Loved the petrol station boogie.

Hi Paddy,mate your the best love your video's I have lived in Chiangmai for 10 years married to a Thai lady for 24 years we came to Chiangmai to retire have seen a lot of Chiangmai and Chiangmai but it's a lot better watching your videos, have you been to the Blue temple and big white Budda with the lift inside so you can see all the floors inside which the walls are beautifully carved it's unreal as is the Blue temple. And mate you ride a bike and drive a car so please enjoy the ride.
