I did wondered what is the difference for these pro res settings on my iPhone, thank you for taking the time to put this video together and explaining the differences, It’s not a big deal to have external storage device as many more options becoming available now as well as the free Black magic app and have different options depending on your needs 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

The production is a masterpiece but you basically explained the prores is almost like a raw in photography. I didn't saw any real life advantage example though, are you able to recover lights and shadows? This is all that matters, we are not pixel peeping and watching movies at 400% zoom.

I'm confused as to why people are so into using an SSD with the iPhone 15 Pro / PM. Why not just get the 512 GB or 1 TB version of the phone?

If you want 10bit, shoot with the larger size. Pretty simple. If you want to shoot pro, dont shoot with a phone😂

That 2 ticks to compatibility for h265 and 3 to pro res is incorrect... H265 is supported by 10x the devices than pro res (if you are not an apple fanatic)

iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro can take 12 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. But iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro can only take 10 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. Why ?
I don't have an iPhone, so can anyone please let me know if you turn ProRaw in 12 megapixel instead of 48 megapixel, can it take 12 bit photos ?
I'm curious about this because, 12-bit = 68 billion colours. But, 10-bit = 1.07 billion colours. That's a huge difference.
If iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro cannot take 12 bit photos, that seems to be a huge downgrade !

I’m so glad I watched your video. I originally assumed that h265 would only be affecting shots where there is a lot more movement for the compression to handle and no finer detail in more static shots would be affected. I was happy with the image for the iPhone 15 pro max but still thought it was plain to see it was shot with a mobile phone. On the last shoot after watching your video I used ProRes 422 and tbh the difference is plain to see. The image is much more organic. It looks close to a modern camera and a lot less digital and processed. Thanks for taking your time to create this detailed video.

I'm on a PC with Resolve. Why can't u just transcode to a less compressed codec and be done with it? I have a iphone 12 and its don't seem to me that that prores of iphone 15 is worth it. Even a Panasonic GH4 id a better value. The codec cannot compensate for such a small sensor. This is more of apple's over promise and under preform. I also see that prores was offered on the iphone 12 pro not too long ago and then vanished with an update.

In terms of trying to be a creator and Having trouble deciding whether I should use widow. H265 for go off the deep end and use pro Res for just regular videos. I know this video took a lot of work for you and in return. You helped countless amounts of people.
